My taste buds are dancing! They served up some of the best smoked brisket and ribs I've ever had, the brisket melts in your mouth and the meat fell right off the bones. The sausage links had great smoky flavor and were super juicy. The chef let us sample the chopped beef and jambalaya and they were both delish! We lucked out and got the last banana pudding and that topped off our meal deliciously. Don't let the shack in the middle nowhere fool ya. Great eats coming from a humble establishment.So glad we made the stop, very easy parking and right off the interstate. (Enough parking to stop in our moving truck) Don't miss out! Found this hidden gem on the way to Red Stick!!! Smell is intoxicating the bbq excellent. Obviously this is family owned and ran. Nicest staff ever. Stop and grab a sandwich or a rib. So glad we did!!!

Best family run BBQ joint this side of the Mississippi. BoBo has been making food here the last 30+ years and the location looks like it could tell some amazing stories. The ribs fall off the bone and the baked macaroni and cheese is the best I have had. Don't let the drive or weathered building stop you! Make sure you check your times because you don't want to miss it when you're nearby and they are limited right now. Honestly the best thing is the people you will meet while you're there, friendly and welcoming like a long lost family or friend.Kid-friendliness: Not fussy and there will be something a kid likes. We also sat with our dogs at an outside bench.
