Pros: good fries and poboy bread. Cons: bland food. Boudin was spicy but lacking in good flavor. Chili on the fries seemed like it was out of a can. Meatball sandwich was ok but nothing special (try the one at John Michaels good eats some time). My wife had the howler and didn’t enjoy it at all. Kids meal shrimp and chicken nuggets were very low quality too, even by kids meal standard (when my kids won’t eat them I always give it a try). Kids meals were cheap at least, but the rest sure wasn’t.

All the food is amazing! But I can always go for the Howler Pepper-jack Queso fries and boudin balls! Hits the spot every time! Always fresh and service is fast! Atmosphere super clean and chill! And don’t forget your four legged friends..the drive thru serves them treats! ❤️ And that’s what I call great service! ??

Tried this place for the first time today, had the shrimp po boy and fries both were hot and delicious, make sure you get the house sauce it's the boss. I will be back to try more menu items!

Easy to miss. Kinda back off the road behind stuff GPS doesn't get you right there. Food was really - wait was pretty long

I didn't even notice, my daughter found this spot and I'm sure glad she did. Nothing like a toasted buttery bun, fresh lettuce, and you know the rest; almost forgot to mention their special sauce too. My daughter gets another thumbs up from me! We really enjoyed our cheeseburgers and fries! Go right ahead and give this place a try :)!

Amazingly friendly and great food! Huge shrimp and the crab cake burger was to die for!! Don't forget to upgrade your fry to chili and queso! We will be back again!

My wife, sister in-law and I ate here on my birthday and the food was awesome. The boudain balls are amazing! The Howler fries were amazing and my burger was pretty good too. I highly recommend Big Bad Bites. This is a great place to go if you're in the Gonzales area or at an event at the Lamar Dixon Center.

A must eat. Worth the money hands down. Nothing was left on our trays at the end it's that good. New lunch spot for me.

Since moving away from Gonzales, we were stoked to try Big Bad Bites when we found time to come around. They were out of their pork sandwich and sweet tea (both of which were my number one choices). So my husband and I settled for the Howler sandwich...which looked stunning, until we both took a bite.. it was cold from the lettuce and tomato and the roast was so cooked to the point of mush. We both said we felt like we were eating meat cooked for someone with no teeth. The fries and boudin balls were killer, but probably wouldn't come back since our grand total was $42 for a half eaten sandwich, unfortunately.

I am very impressed! First time trying this place and the food is delicious. I highly recommended J*** chicken salad and big bad balls. Food was brought out curbside hot and fast! Will definitely be back

Saw this place had boudin balls and knew I was going try it. $38 for a burger meal, 2 kids burger meals, and 3 boudin balls. The sauce in the cup and on the burger is tasty. The burger is good! Boudin balls are very good! Some spice but not too much, and good cheese ratio. There are very little menu items but a worker did tell me he was working on more things when I asked about a shrimp poboy.

Wonderful first visit! A super friendly and attentive staff is always SO appreciated by us. Wishing I would have taken the time out to snap some pictures of our food but everything just happened so fast (which is always a great thing!) I'll update with pics at our 2nd visit.

J*** chicken bowl - it's a salad. The chicken is very good, although a bit overwhelmed with the sauce on top. Black beans, lettuce, chicken, and a LOT of sauce. All good stuff, but a bit easier on the sauce would let that chicken stand out better. Boudin balls are good. The website says they are from The Best Stop. Despite the hype, I have never thought those were the best, but they are good and will certainly satisfy the craving. The menu is the same as their Rouge A Roux food truck - and everything I've had from there was decent. Neon sign on the wall says "Food that'll blow you away." I wouldn't go that far, but it's not bad. I'd come back.
