Such a romantic atmosphere and the steaks were unbelievable. Deviled eggs were so good, they were gone before our waiter even turned around. Also highly recommend the Brussels. I literally highly recommend everything we ordered, I’m going to be thinking about that filet for weeks.

We celebrated a 60th b-day last night and EVERYTHING was perfect!! We brought friends that had never been & we're from New Orleans. We can't wait to go back!! Karl was our waiter and he was fabulous!! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. About to book a date for the brunch.

I had an insect in my water when we got to the table. We were sat crammed up against a wall and my steak was cold, not even warm. The food was good other than that. It was my 1st time there but I won't be back.

Been going there for 40 years. But the last 5 meals there have been too salty to eat. Never voluntarily going again. Unfortunately my wife still likes it. Ugg.

Waited about 15 mins before server came to take our drinks. Meanwhile THREE employees passed and made small talk around us during that time. Servers were all up at the bar chatting. Food was average. Gnocchi to start was insanely salty, and we love salt. Steak was not cooked properly, uneven cook on an 8oz filet. Half was medium well, half was barely medium. The potato side was weird. Lights were flickering the whole time. Smell of the restaurant was old. Often felt forgotten about and maybe that was the table we were seated at? Not sure. We won't be back, there are far better steaks, and ambiences out here in Hammond and the Northshore for the same price.

The best food in Hammond . I moved here two years ago and the choices for dining out are extremely disappointing . Jacmel Inn is a league of its own and comparable to the finest restaraunts of New Orleans . I highly recommend the filet and the French Onion Soup ! Absolute heaven !

I went to college in Hammond, the town where Jacmel is. It is a very special location, an old home that was turned into a restaurant. The ambiance is superior to most any other restaurant that I have been to. The menu and food are superb. In the colder months, there are fireplaces that just add to the charm. A visit here will be one that you will never forget, or regret.

Jacmel is ALWAYS an outstanding experience. The service and food are impeccable and it's one of our regular spots for a nice dinner out. Although Jennifer wasn't our server this time, she stopped by to say hi because she saw us come in. I can't say nice enough things about her.

My husband and I went on Saturday 1/20 our reservation was for 6:30pm we arrived early and was seated right away. Our table was inside on the porch and it was freezing. Asked to be moved and we were moved inside and the temperature was 57, it went up to 59 by the time our entree was served. The only heat was the fire place which was no help unless you were seated right next to it. The food was great and the service was great.

To start, our waitress Julia was amazing! She left us alone except to top off our water and check on us. Dinner took us a little over 2 hours but we were never hungry. The entire meal was well paced and the soft music was perfect for my date night. I had seen complaints about the price of food, but although I spent almost $300 for two people ($50 tip) I have to say that the quality was well worth it. As someone who never goes out to fancy places (teacher budget haha) this was a place I would consider coming to again for sure. The seafood risotto was the star of my night as my appetizer. I could have eaten a bucket of it. The presentation was something from food network and the taste exceeded even that. My entree was the 16 OZ ribeye ($62) and oh my god. I know that $60 is a lot, but from the first bite the quality of the meat was evident. The fat melted like butter in my mouth and made every bite amazing. Me and my wife had the cookies and milk for dessert and this place even home makes the cookies. They were come of the best cookies I've ever had. Altogether, I cannot recommend this place enough.

My fiancé and I have been wanting to go to dinner here for awhile now. Tonight was the night we finally decided on.I was expecting the food to be good, but Jacmel exceeded my expectations. JACMEL, PLEASE never take the Ricotta Gnocci off of the menu. It was fantastic. I am a fast eater, but I ate this so slow I wanted to savor every bite. If you like ricotta and crab meat, this is a MUST on the appetizer. Do not skip this, then, whatever sauce is leftover, dip your bread in it. I’m telling yall, this chef knows EXACTLY what tf he is doing. The Brussels sprouts were also soooo delicious. Everything was seasoned so well. I’m a Cajun girl, so I like my seasonings. We also ordered the steak and ribeye which was wonderful and followed it with a dessert, the milk and cookies.Everything including the service was amazing and we can’t wait to go back for their Tuesday steak night special.I will be dreaming about this Ricotta Gnocci until I get to have it again ?
