This place is ridiculously Good, reasonably price with a varied menu, great service, located in former boom area of the Westbank, Peter's Road. It is worth trying and like me you will be pleasantly surprised and become a somewhat regular.

I have eaten here several times since new. As with any new place they have improved since day one. Staffing changes and such have been for the better. Last lunch special I had was Shrimp Parmesan, Fettuccini Alfredo and Artichoke Casserole. One of the most impressive things I have had in a restaurant in a while. The onion rings are top notch as well. 2 things I can say about Big Al: #1- most people will be happy with his boiled seafood. #2 - I think his oyster are as good a it gets. Chef Mario of Cafe DiBlasi fame is working some magic on the Italian dishes. I had some good lasagna there recently. I think the marinara is a strong point. In full disclosure I do have ties to the place, but nothing that would influence my review. I probably eat there every week or two.

I was really craving cajun food. I searched up Big Al’s on google. We originally were going elsewhere, but due to wait time and bad customer service we ended up here. I am so glad that happened, because we discovered the best seafood spot in New Orleans. The owner was super sweet and made sure we got the best service and best experience. The food was amazing! 10/10

We’re so sad that we were in such a rush because this place is absolutely amazing! We got here and our table was already set for us! We were greeted to nothing but smiles, and the owner Big Al himself took real good care of us. We got the seafood gumbo, fish and chips, and the fish po boy. All three things were delightful! We will definitely be coming back!

I got the shrimp po-boy. The shrimp was cooked perfectly. The french fries were excellent also. I’ll definitely be back for more.
Service and food were both impeccable. Gotta give it a try if you like boiled seafood.

The onion rings were the best I've had- perfectly cooked, not greasy and excellently seasoned. The Cajun potatoe salad was good.The outside looks like you're walking into a dive, but the inside is new and modern. The staff were very responsive. Definitely coming back!

Went there yesterday made several Purchases the crab cakes were real good did not like the sauce but ok I’ll give this dish a 8.5 I also ordered fried oysters and pasta well oysters was a nice size but no flavor at all the pasta was nothing but Spaghetti and cheese or A cheese sauce no flavor at all I’ll give this dish a3.5 also bought some crawfish who ever boiled them need to change they recipe no seasoning whatsoever and I eat crawfish four days a week these was one of the worst 4.0 also took some sausage home look real good at first and really has a good flavor but was not cooked all the way through 2.5 The staff was wonderful very nice young ladies 10. I believe in giving a second chance I will be back to try something else but I won’t spend $75Maybe $25
