I always enjoy my meals at Hong Kong...The onion chicken is delicious. I order that with the vegetables to go with it.. I have never had a bad meal there.
We decided to try this place because the Google reviews were great. I never leave a review but didn't want anyone to waste their time or money. You would think when you are going to a Chinese restaurant that doesn't have a buffet, the food would be hot and fresh right? Wrong. The food came out cold. We had to ask our server to have our food reheated. Definitely not authentic Chinese food like all the reviews stated. Very disappointed. Will not be go back there again.

This is our most favorite eatery. Even though we live in the community of THIBODAUX, La. we will travel to eat at this restaurant sometimes 2 or 3 times a week. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. Even our 8 year old grandson loves to eat here also. Try it, you’ll like it.

The amount of delicious food you get here for the price, can make you lunch/dinner plates for at least 2 days. We got the bbq ribs, shrimp and I got the chicken lo mein. I prefer the thicker noodles but this was delicious. My coworker got the house fried rice and the shrimp egg rolls. She went back the next day for more shrimp egg rolls. The lady that tended to us was making and attentive. I wished we remembered her name.

Always clean! Lots of options on the bar and they consistently replenish with fresh servings. I found the boil shrimp to be very good! Perfectly boiled ?

I remember when HKR opened in the mid '80s, it was my favorite spot to eat when I was working at the mall. After all these years and many Chinese restaurant samplings later, I find that the prices and quality are still some of the best in the area. No buffet here, but great service and a wonderful variety of food. The quantity of food in each dish is more than enough, and when you dine in, you get a complimentary cup of soup. I got the Szechuan Lo Mein dinner plate that came with an egg roll, fried rice, and fried wontons. Everything was delicious, but I needed a to-go box, lol. It may have taken a while to come back to HKR, but we will be making it one of our regular places to eat.

Kinda biased cause I know the owners quite well, but this place is amazing! I love the general and sesame chicken, and the soup dumplings are the bomb! Would recommend this place.
Reading these comments make me laugh. This is a wonderful establishment!! The food, especially the egg drop soup, the service, the owners, are all SUPERB. I live about 40 minutes away and will continue to drive it for all the reasons listed above!!!

This joint has 2 signs on their windows that say OPEN 10:30am - 9 pm Monday thru Saturday.Here is sit … Saturday 1:49 pm and they are LOCKED UP TIGHT !Why would they have FALSE ADVERTISING DECORATING THEIR WINDOW?How hard is it to MAKE A NEW SIGN - displaying the actual hours that you are open.I have never been to this restaurant before and I will probably never come back.HOW STUPID CAN OWNERS BE ????

Food was horrible. The beef lo mein was horrid the noodles were vermicelli noodles definitely not the correct noodles for lo mein. Fried rice taste like rice with soy sauce no flavor whatsoever. Bourbon chicken tasted like it was cooked in fish grease. Food has no flavor whatsoever, egg rolls super soggy.
