Central Poboys make the heartiest, filling, delicious poboys. They are a busy lunch spot but customer service can't be beat no matter how busy they are! I always order a large ham and cheese poboy and mozzarella sticks when I am working as an actor at New Orleans Nightmare. Just 1/4 of the poboy right before the show keeps me going. The poboys also keep amazingly in the fridge, so get a big one and enjoy it for 2 days.

I ordered a Ham and Swiss PO-Boy dressed, and the ham was old and sour. It was very disappointing for paying 18 dollars for a bad sandwich.

Traveling around Lousiana we stumbled upon this restaurant. The server was absolutely lovely and polite. We decided to get a shrimp po'boy and an oyster po'boy. The shrimp was pretty good. The oyster po'boy tasted like what I can only imagine breaded boogers to taste like. I asked could we have the oyster po'boy taken off our bill (we only took one bite). The manager (I assume), came over obviously annoyed proceeded to loudly and rudely tell us how expensive oysters are right now and she won't take it off the bill "just because it wasn't our cup of tea." We just said okay, and paid and took the oyster po' boy with us, since we did pay for it. No southern hospitality from this place. Will not return or recommend this establishment to anyone I know.

I've been shopping around for the best Shrimp Poboy for years. Central is not the top of the list, but a good showing and a consistent, reliable source for a good poboy. I've been to Central many times and I'll be back.

What an outstanding Po-boy especially if you like ‘em wet! That au jus was perfectly salted and black peppered.Thin sliced roast beef that was tender. And that bread. Just enough to keep it together. Don’t try to take it Togo with gravy on it.Get out the napkins !!This place is a must!!
Fantastic. Everyone has seen this menu- seafood, roast beef po-boys and plate lunches. The difference here is that all is fried to order and that makes a difference. My wife had your basic shrimp po-boy, fresh, hot shrimp, crumbly french bread with fresh, cold lettuce and tomato. I had a soft shell crab on a bun. Excellent. The onion rings are great. I did not get any, but the fries looked hot and crispy. AND the service was great, too. At least three different staff stopped and checked in. A cut above your average po-boy joint.,

Got a grilled chicken Caesar for myself, nice size portion, big flakes of Parm, tasty dressing. Chicken was well grilled and seasoned. Other guy got a burger, he seemed very happy with it. 3rd guy wiped out his onion rings like he was a biblical plague and they were egyptians. 3rd guy also got a roast beef poboy, it didn't last much longer than the onion rings but we all laughed at him when he opened up the wrapper and said, "It's so WET...". Guys grow old, they don't grow up.
