Let me start by our waitress was very nice. I'm from out of town and some family brought us here for seafood. So they've been here before and enjoyed it, so this might have been just an off night. The crabs and shrimp was absolutely terrible. The crab meat was stringy. The shrimp was mush. After having really good jambalaya in the quarter, the jambalaya here was meh. I'm still going to give them 3 stars though because some of the other dishes we had were fine and my family says it's better at other times.

Ok so I rarely write reviews. This place was bonkers. We picked it because it was lent, we wanted fish and it was on the way. The place looked really simple and had some burnt out neon letters which could either be exceptionally good or exceptionally bad.We walked in to a really clean, open space where the music wasn’t super loud and were sat immediately.Our server was awesome. She was clearly from the area and knew the menu inside and out. The menu isn’t super clear and she was able to talk us through our 10000 midwestern questions.We wanted some deep fried stuff so we ordered pickle chips and onion rings. I never would have expected them to be handmade. They were so good. Like, so good that even though I knew I had to eat more food after I still couldn’t stop eating them. And they had the good ranch. You know what I mean. The really good stuff.The server, Lynn, who, again was so super good, recommended the red fish. I’m from Wisconsin. We don’t have redfish. But. She was so awesome so I tried it.I don’t know what kind of insane stuff they put in their blackening season, but it has to be illegal. It was one of those “I am so full but I can’t stop eating” kind of things. Then when I finished my plate my husband started putting his food from his absurdly huge seafood platter on my plate. Even when I was so full I hated myself, I still at the entire deep fried catfish filet. And I couldn’t stop eating THAT either.Literally go there. I’m not kidding. It’s worth the shame you will feel because you can’t stop shoveling all the goodness in your face.

Food was absolutely HORRIBLE!! Jambalaya and bendable fries were cold. Had to send them back. Brought heated food back to us. Jambalaya was extremely bland. Fries bendable due to being placed in oil that wasn't HOT enough; therefore, they were NOT CRISPY!! A big waste of $28 plus tip. Will NEVER go there again!!

I ordered the catfish and shrimp platter. Jambalaya was cold and bland. French fries were bendable not crispy and cold. Sent Jambalaya and fries back. Waiter came back with more. Jambalaya heated but still bland. Fries hot but still bendable, NOT crispy. I haven't been there in 5 years. I promise you that I will NEVER go back. That was $28 plus tip thrown away..

The service was so lacking. We waited for food for an hour. We are given a salad and drinks after much waiting. Meanwhile tables who came after us got served and left. It was just a terrible experience. People near us said they too would never come back. Waitress said "I told you had a big table to tend too" Meanwhile another waitress was busy stuffing napkins in a dispenser sitting in a booth admitted we were in her section and should have been her table. The chef walked out of the kitchen and saw we had no food. Another waiter was in the back on his phone with nothing to do. Was our order not put in? The male manager who bartends did not disappoint in his attitude and rudeness. He should have written off our tab instead he tried to charge me for the food that never served. We had given up on this place due to the rude male bartender and came back. Had a few good meals and now this.

First time here! I'm not a seafood lover, but my pregnant wife was craving crawfish. They had great options for me to choose from that were not seafood. Joey, our server was amazing. He helped us effortlessly as he gave the same great service to others. He let us know they even have live music on certain nights! We will definitely be back!
