I've been waiting months for Biryani Pot to open and I was satisfied with the overall experience (for the most part). I placed an order online for pickup. When I arrived, no one was at the front. I waited and waited, and someone finally came to the front. He told me to hold on as he did some things on the register. I then waited and waited and waited....it was weird and they clearly needed additional help. Fast forward to finally getting my food...everything was hot (thankfully). The vegetable samosas were good (not the best I've had), but I'd get them again. It would have been nice to have something to dip them in though. The cheese naan was ehh. Half was okay but the other half was almost burnt. Lastly, the chicken fried rice was delicious. It had the perfect amount of spice and the serving size was big. I'd definitely return, so hope the customer service will be better next time.

This is some of the best Indian food I have eaten in the city (and my family is from India so I have high standards). The food is spicy, flavorful, and the buffet has wonderful variety. The weekday buffet is a little more simple, but the weekend one is full. It will definitely become a regular for my husband and I!

We’ve ordered from Biryani Pot four times in the last month. The biryani is some of the best I’ve had in Nola, but the curries (we’ve had saag paneer and chicken tikka masala so far) seem bland and all puréed. Reason for three stars is a noticeable reduction in the quantity of meat in our most recent keema biryani (see picture). I just hope they keep up their initial quality.

Delicious Indian food! Great friendly service. We stopped here for an early dinner. We ordered veggie samosas, saag paneer, chicken Tikka masala, and goat biryani. All of it was amazing. The portions are a good size. The service was excellent. Be careful on the spice, even the mild on some things had a good bit of heat.

This restaurant is probably one of the better Indian restaurants in New Orleans! We ordered 2 kinds of biriyani , one paneer biriyani and lamb biriyani and it did not disappoint! The flavors in the biriyani were so well balanced. Will be ordering more food from them!

We had their masala dosa, rava dosa, and their paneer biryani. Everything was delicious!! Give them a try. They need to work on their decor but I think that’s because they are newly opened. Will be back.

Tried this New indian restaurant,we were pleasantly surprised by the taste of all the food we ordered,we ordered samosas, pani pani,chole bature,lamb rogan josh and shrimp biryani.. one of the best place to eat Indian food,we love it and would love to come back..

Biryani Pot is amazing!! The staff is friendly, welcoming, and very helpful. They have an extensive menu of Indian specialities as well as an option to have the buffet. Everything was incredibly delicious! So happy a new Indian restaurant opened up closer to home!
So happy that there is a legitimate Indian restaurant in New Orleans. The service and the food is absolutely amazing. It's an extensive menu and so far whatever we have ordered have been great. Make sure you do not miss the buffet during the weekend. It had about 24 items
