We ate at Mr. Ed's in Kenner last night. We had the oyster salad again!!! It was nothing compared to their mid city location on Carrollton like I had previously ordered a couple of weeks ago!!! The oysters in Kenner were cooked with flour, were mushy, served over regular lettuce not spinach, and the dressing just a regular vinaigrette...not the specialty dressing served at the other location!!! The restaurant in mid city cooked their oysters in yellow corn meal and were fried to perfection. Apparently, each location can cook their own version of a menu item!!!! We will never go back to the Kenner location and I told them so!!!!!!!!

Very good but stuffed crab too spicy to eat. Crab stuffed mushrooms were fine. Hubby enjoyed the veal.

I will definitely not be returning to this establishment. I ordered the gumbo, which was decent and a shrimp salad. The salad was horrible... wilted lettuce no eggs. When I inquired about eggs, I was initially told that they had run out. Then I was told I would have to talk to the manager about adjusting the price. Miraculously, they found an egg in the cooler. I never received a sorry or an apology for the oversight. None of us finished our food, and the food was seriously overpriced... I rarely write reviews... shoukd have heeded my husbands concern about going ro a restaurant named after a horse. my advice.. don't visit!

We went with our "lunch bunch' from St.Francis Villa Assisted Living Facility today (12/28). Jo was our server and she was fabulous! Very welcoming, professional, entertaining, understanding and everything else. The food was very well proportioned; and even more delicious! Thank you for having our residents today. We all left with smiles on our faces and full bellies.

The food was Luke warm. Five out of six of us had our food waiting on the counter while they waited for the sixth plate. Worse food and service. Will not return.

I can't say enough great things about Mr. Ed's restaurant in Kenner, bruh! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere that feels like home.I've been there several times and the food is a taste of home cooking, but without the accidental burnt edges that my dear old mom used to serve up. Whether you're craving classic comfort food or healthy options, their menu has something for everyone. Highly recommend!

Usually this has been my spot for reliably good food but this last time the lasagna and red beans came out cold. At 6 pm, there were only two servers but ours was terrific.

Our group arrived at 11 and we were seated right away, but reception was a bit cold. Party of 6, as well as repeat customers(until that day). Service was poor. Drink wait time/order time too long. Waitress was inattentive from drink service to serving hot food. We were able to see the kitchen, as it was right there, and we could see the food was ready to be served, but one order was not ready and waitress waited to serve all at once we decided. She noticed we were aware of the situation and came over and explained the Shepard's Pie daily special was not ready. We told her to just bring out the rest of the orders. Once 5/6 orders came out we realized there was one order that was wrong and the food was lukewarm at best. Shepard's pie took about 15 more minutes to come out. Drink refills were not offered until the very end. Doubt any of us will return as we all resented the 20% added gratuity considering the poor service and quality of food.
