Woof. Extremely suspicious of how this restaurant got as many good reviews as it has. The one and only good thing about my experience at Cactus? My waitress was very sweet. Unfortunately everything else was downhill, the queso was lukewarm, the bathrooms were sketchy, my friends margarita was SWEET and basically had leftover lime rind dumped on it with a barely salted rim and a.... Cherry?? She even let me try it, and.. I've never tasted a margarita like that before in my life. Even the salsa was poorly mixed, as there were whole chili flakes in the mix. Since I hadn't been to this place before, my mentality was"Okay let's see how the tacos are instead of going with a true entree".... Not sure if that was the best or worst decision but the tacos were flavorless and the ground beef was dry. I'm glad I didn't spend more money on a bigger and more expensive plate if the basic items were inedible. I feel like I'm pretty gracious, but I seriously felt like i would've more luck at taco Bell than Cactus Mexican Grill.Oh and don't let any photos deceive you. The booths are in shoddy condition and can barely position you close enough to the table. Everything is a bit run down feeling.

Highly disappointed after reading a few reviews. Salsa was good but a cold one. Queso had to be sent back bc it was cold. All 3 orders of food was almost inedible. My daughter took one bite, me and my husband had a few. Server was ok, seemed busy but she noticed my daughters food not touched and immediately said she’d take it off the bill so we appreciate that, margaritas were good! Wanted to try dessert but changed my mind after getting food.

UGH! NOTHING AUTHENTIC. Tastes terrible. Chicken? Could not tell. Beef? Oh boy inedible! Pico de gallo - not even close. Refried beans from a can.guacamole bitter. Never again. Beef was tiny bits on tacquito & they do not know what tacquito should be. Shameful

Very pleasant setting, very authentic, and very affordable.All around great experience, if you want authentic Mexican cuisine.The crawfish ANYTHING is good, the twist they put on a Louisiana classic is fantastic.
