Don’t recommend, Truly the worst dinner me and my husband had in Lafayette, the food is greasy and heavy Literally we send the plates 3/4 full, and the waiter asked us if we want it to go!!!! After we said we didn’t like the food they offered me a different side!!!( they call it quality check). Don’t get me wrong we are not picky but we eat every where and in diff states the food is bad.The service is poor they were late serving food and even to check us out!!! Honestly we couldn’t wait to leave.Ps the host lady is the best thing in the place.

Visited for Easter Brunch, overall it was a good experience I'd be willing to visit again on another occasion. I ordered the Blue Crab Cakes (3/5), someone else ordered the ettouffee (5/5), pork cochon (1/5) guests didn't enjoy the dish. Everyone enjoyed their alcoholic beverages (5/5). Desserts were okay, bourbon pie and bread pudding (2.5/5)

We enjoyed a wonderful anniversary dinner. Our table was decorated with little hearts and an anniversary card and we were congratulated as we were seated. Our server was friendly and professional. The food was excellent and we enjoyed a complimentary dessert. It was a very romantic celebration because of the staff, the ambiance, and the meal.

My husband and I had a reservation for our first wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed in the slightest. The food was phenomenal, and the service was fantastic! 10/10 recommend, and we will absolutely be back!

Charley G's never disappoints! Celebrated my birthday with family. Service was on point and phenomenal. Our server, Mya, was splendidly pleasant and efficient. The food was superb. The Sea Bass and the shrimp, drum, and duck dishes that our table guests ordered were exceptional. Mya had a terrific knowledge of wines and recommended a terrific Tuscan blend. Desserts finished off our meal experience with perfection that only Charley G's can deliver. The ambiance was perfect, including soft piano sounds floating in the background. There's a reason Charley G's remains my favorite restaurant in Lafayette, and it's not coincidental. Instead, it's the best in Lafayette dining options because attention to detail matters, and it shows!! Thanks for a great evening.

Appetizers, wine selection & desserts were excellent--attractive presentation and well-executed. The entrees left something to be desired--the menu is tired and execution has room for improvement. I find this is the case nearly every time I go, for lunch or dinner, that the entrees seem phoned-in. But the service is always excellent, and overall makes this a very enjoyable experience; I just order lots of appetizers and wine. Definitely returning; would definitely recommend.

Charley G's never disappoints. Family get together to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food and service was great and the “extras” - card, decorations, etc. - made it even more special.

Absolutely amazing! Would rather eat here a million times over than spend extra at Mr Lester's. Quality and experience are by far the best around for fine dining! Thank y'all for making our 1st anniversary worth while!!

Have dined here several times and for whatever reason this recent experience was less than ideal . Food was ok. Service was sparse at best. Will think twice about returning given the number of choices available in Lafayette.

Overall another wonderful dining experience. The food was on point. My one complaint is that I made our reservation for bar seating and when we arrived they had us seated in the main dining room and had no bar seating available. This was very disappointing. I don't understand being given the option to reserve a table in the particular section of the restaurant you wish and then it not be honored. Otherwise this review would have been 5 stars all the way.

Tonight was date night and Charlie G's was a great pick. Low light atmosphere at the bar, as there were no seats available otherwise. Hubby had to use the phone to see the menu. The service is spectacular, very attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. The gumbo had the dark color we look for and was very filling. The tuna tartar was very fresh, nestled over a bed of seaweed salad. I am very picky when it comes to risotto, and I must say the wood grilled gulf shrimp, roasted butternut squash, lemon and parmesan risotto was worth getting again. The only fault is, the butternut squash was hard to find in the dish, a piece here and there. The special of the night, drum over lobster scampi, was cooked to perfection although maybe a little heavy on the lemon. Portion size is appropriate, but as fishermen we found the drum to be undersized. Overall, would recommend as a date night or special occasion.

Charley G's is by far one of Lafayette's finest restaurants. Everything is ideal from the ambience to the service and of course the meal! We celebrated our latest anniversary with family and enjoyed a wonderful experience. It is pricey, but that's to be expected for a fine dining experience. Plus, on Thursdays, most appetizers and bottles of wine are 1/2 price! We've never had a bad meal here and will certainly return for future special occasions.
