This is my second try at Chinese food in Lafayette. Definitely, better than the last but not great. I ordered Sesame Chicken and House Lo Mein. The Sesame Chicken was bordering on being too hard and tough, I had to look for the smallest pieces. The Lo Mein was the better of the two.I will give them another try and order something that has no batter, in hopes I’ll get more tender and palatable protein because the chicken in the Lo Mein was fine.

Food was super fresh and hot!The lo mein is one of the best I’ve had and the sesame chicken was great. Will definitely go there again for lunch.

I ordered food and upon opening my food I there was an awful smell, the presentation was even worse, reluctantly I tasted this horrible food,...My wings tasted like old grease, and the fried rice was were the smell came from, It's time the Health Department start doing their job...The customer service attitude stunk like the food....

I just received my order from Waitr and I just wasn’t very happy with it at all. I ordered pan fried pork dumplings…they were good. Egg roll was fine. But the Mongolian Beef tasted like straight BLACK LICORICE….I’m not sure how that even happens. Anise maybe? But like WAYYYY too much? It was awful…not gonna lie.And I also ordered a large shrimp lomein and it was QUITE fishy.I have China Wok and Hot Wok menus in a drawer & I wrote on this one that it was the better of the two…and I was REALLY craving some damn good Chinese but this unfortunately wasn’t it.I’m giving 3 stars hoping it was an off night and bc I clearly had a good meal from them sometime before. But I have egg rolls AND pork potstickers in my freezer right at this very moment…I should’ve just made them myself bc the rest wasn’t edible.

I am never one to say no to Chinese food, I've tried plenty of Chinese restaurants before. Today I ordered coconut shrimp, hot spicy shrimp combo and cheese wontons. I was not pleased, first the "spicy shrimp " is not spicy at all, it's loaded with about one full onion (as pictured) when your living in the south of Louisiana spicy means spicy and that was something I would give to a kid, the egg roll that came with it was bland. What I did like, was the coconut shrimp and the cheese wontons, they weren't the best, but definitely better than anything else I ordered. Over all I would drive the extra 5 Miles to another Chinese take out before I order from China wok again. I recommend China wok to someone who is not looking for that much flavor and wanting more of no seasoning.
