There are not many options for Caribbean and Jamaican food in Lafayette. The jerk shop still gives excellent quality food despite the lack of competition. Every time I have gone there, they have been constantly good. The jerk sauce has a great mixture sweet and flavorful without being dominated by spice. You can even buy their sauce at local vendors. We always keep some in the house. This was my first time trying there, Beef Patty. The Patty was flaky and buttery at the same time, and the beef had good flavor.

When you have nothing to compare it to then I guess it's good. But I'm west Indian and they missed the mark. The jersey chicken was good. Cabbage was great. Mac and cheese was Kraft with some seasoning, not baked pie. I'll give them another try if I'm in the neighborhood.

Love authentic Jamaican food? ? Check this place out! The curry and jerk chicken and pork are fantastic, and the curry goat is off the charts, DELICIOUS! Make sure to order the Mac pie , rice and peas and add fried plantains for desert!

My kids and I visited this place last night for the 1st time. My son and I ordered jerk chicken. I got rice & peas and steamed cabbage. He got white rice and mac & cheese. My daughter got the shrimp and my son-in- law ordered wings.We all enjoyed the meal. The music in the background added to the ambiance.

I have so far only been there once and I had the ox tail stew but it had to be the absolute neat best oxtail stew I have had. In my entire life. And I will be returning as soon as I possibly care.

The eating area is pretty spacious, dark usually, with music ongoing, service is decent for pick up orders. I have also tried their jerk chicken, their mac and cheese (they call it something else) and both were great…
