I put in an order well before Fat Tuesday for an out of state delivery and requested that my three cakes be shipped on the Monday before Mardis Gras. I received an email confirming my order and that was the last communication from Gambians. On Monday I sent them an email inquiring about my cakes and only received an automated reply that they would respond in the order that it was received. I waited two days without an answer before calling Gambinos. The lady was curt and cold but did confirm that I would be reimbursed before hanging up on me. Funny how I had to apologize to my children’s schools and my church that while I committed to introducing these cakes to my new community that I was not able to fulfill my obligations and I wasn’t even able to get an apology from gambinos for dropping the ball and not fulfilling my order. I guess they have grown too big to care about their customers anymore. Next year I’ll start taking my business elsewhere.

Amazing baked goods. They have the best king cake, not just a cinnamon roll shaped into a king cake. Their king cake is more like a brioche bread . Petit fours are tasty and the doberge squares just melt in your mouth. Typical walk in bakery, good service. They also have king cake balls if you would like bite sized king cake.

I don't know what happened but their king cakes are nothing but bread this year. I ordered a cream cheese king cake. Zero cream cheese. I then bought a strawberry cream cheese king cake, and again zero cream cheese but there was strawberry. Is there a cream cheese shortage? Am I missing something? For what they charge, I'm going else where now for my king cakes. Just sad what they are doing.
