I ordered the shrimp they were cooked nicely however the bed of rice they sat on was cold. The chicken shawarma Wasn't your typical thin slice but chunks of chicken and were dried out. I probably wouldn't eat here again.

Never ate at this restaurant but wanted to try it because of the 4.6 rating on Google. Not sure why it has it this high because the whole experience was terrible. When we walked in the decor was tacky with Mardi Gras decorations everywhere, walls and ceiling. We seated quickly but the server took forever to take our drink order and bring them, they were to busy talking at the bar. We ordered a sampler app which took 20 minutes to get and she asked what type of bread we wanted, never got it. She then took our lunch order and there were 3 of us, we all ordered the combination plate again she asked what bread we wanted. 2o minutes later someone from the kitchens comes out and tells us they ran out of salad, another 10 minutes pass and they bring the plate of food, $15 for a small 10" plate of meat and rice, the portions at the Zeus express are bigger in the to go plates , an i know the gyro was the prepackaged frozen one you get everywhere. Still never got the pita bread, the waitress never came back to the table and refilled our drinks not once . By the time we got our food there was no one left in the place except the bar. Don't go there if you are in a rush for your lunch break it was over an hour from the time we walked in and left. Oh and they charged me full price for all our meals, even though we did not get everything we ordered! On a positive note the Moussaka was good.Parking: shopping center and packed

Had Gyro Platter, which was great. Having a lot of this meal made from family feom Greece, they did the meal how it should be done. The salad with the meal was delish, although a little heavy on the oil. The only item I was disappointed with was the humus. The servers were very kind, friendly, and attentive.

I was in Lafayette for two days on business. I went to Poseidon the first evening and returned the next evening because it was so good! On the first night, I had a Greek salad with salmon, cabbage rolls for an appetizer, the lentil soup, and the baklava à la mode for dessert. Everything was outstanding. On the second night, I had the lamb chops, an appetizer sampler, and the baklava à la mode again for dessert. And again the meal was incredible. A few high points were how perfectly cooked the lamb chops were, the wonderful flavor of the lentil soup. The baklava à la mode is a must have. They serve it warm with ice cream, which is so creative and delicious. This is a family own/run restaurant that is overflowing with authentic warmth and courtesy. The service was outstanding, attentive, and friendly. If I am back in Lafayette, I will definitely be returning to Poseidon. Here are a few pics from my meal.

Sometimes you wanna go where everybody knows your name. This place reminds me of Cheers. It's an old tv show kids. Look it up kids. The food is out of this world. I highly recommend the lamb chops and pasta. It's mouth watering just typing this. I refuse to get anything else because that's how obsessed I am with this dish. The lamb is cooked a perfect medium rare. It's so juicy and succulent. I will naw on the bone afterwards. Don't judge. The pasta is al dente and so creamy. The only reason I try other dishes is because my wife orders them lol. If you decide to go against my advice, which you shouldn't, but if you do - you can't go wrong with the moussaka, spanakopita, and I can't forget about the gyro. They also have a great liquor selection. Cheers beaches
