I went there because I really wanted a good French bread, unfortunately it’s not close. We bought some of the pastries and cookies, they were good. So, if you like American-style bread, pastries and cookies you'll be in for a treat.

Reviews indicated this is the best bakery in Lafayette... Holy moly, sweet cannoli! Every pastry was absolutely delicious. The cannoli & French cheesecake (best seller) was light, fluffy & perfectly sweetened. Pastries average $4-$5 & the employees were friendly & very helpful. Poupart's is a keeper.

We had heard this was a great bakery and good king cakes. We walked in and it wasn't busy but the service was awful the lady behind the counter was very rude. We still purchased a few cookies and king cake. Do not recommend the cream cheese cheesecake but the cookies were well. Maybe it was an off day. But not a great first impression.

Living in the New Orleans area, I've tried lots of great king cakes. This year, Mardi Gras was so early that I didn't get a chance to get my good king cake before the season ended. I don't like just any old king cake -- it's got to be GOOD. And in New Orleans, indeed there are lots of good king cakes. So I looked online and found Poupart's Bakery from Lafayette. It was of course much pricier than had I gone to a store in New Orleans, but oh my God was it worth the price. Moist, flavorful... better than many king cakes sold in New Orleans, and I'm related to the Randazzo family! Sorry cousins, this king cake is better!

Stopped here during our trip to Louisiana and had a great experience. The young man who waited on us was super nice and helpful and the sampling of pastries we got were delicious. Definitely recommend

We have always looked forward to receiving a King Cake during Mardi Gras season for the past eight years...the donut-style, cinnamon-filled, sugar-coated circle of goodness was a one of a kind, But that was THEN! Now? I received my first cake, tampered with, stale, literally NO filling, and the baby falling out of the cake before even opening the wrapping. So, I messaged the bakery, and to their credit, they sent another one promptly. But it was still stale, no filling (although they got this order wrong and it had nuts, which we do not prefer and never had before), and heavily coated with sugar. For $69, I will say that we will never buy another one from this bakery. My guess is that they are under new management and that family has changed the recipe. But we are done...until they bring back the original.

Came in here to pick up some sweets. Had the black and white pastry and it was delicious. Very friendly and helpful employees.

I bought a King Cake on 2/4/24. By the cakes was a sign with the prices of the different sizes king cakes. I got the medium size pecan praline fillings. When checking out the price went up a couple of dollars because I got one with fillings, the price on the sign was for plan/no fillings. If I say there was a table spoon of fillings I may be exaggerating. Will not try king cakes from Poupart's again. French bread was real good.

Best cinnamon king cake around. Tried the cream cheese one, too, but cinnamon clearly our winner. My wife loves chicken salad.....says theirs is best she's had ANYWHERE! A good friend who lives in Lafayette recommended the chicken salad. And their French bread is mighty tasty......not like New Orleans, but does the job!Highly recommended! We will return whenever we are back in Lafayette.
