Went for dinner on Saturday night. Table for 2, didn't have to wait very long, we sat in the bar area. Our waitress, Blythe, was very sweet, helpful & attentive. Wasn't sure which charbroiled oysters to choose for appetizer and the one she suggested were AMAZING! I had the charbroiled catfish with spinach and sweet potato mash. Everything was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the food & to ask for Blythe to be your server! You won't be disappointed.

Boyfriend and I popped in on cinco de mayo to get away from the crowds but still have something good to eat and drinkWe sat at the bar and had the spinach dip and split a steak burgerOur bartender, Quincy was awesome- he had our burger split for us and suggested we try the croutons along with the bow ties for our spinach dip. He also told us about some really cool local beers from gnarly barley and his experience visiting there! Having moved from BR recently and being in SIN, I am thrilled that chimes is here and brought its culture with it! We will be back… a lot!

This is our first visit. As we pulled up, it was obvious the facility was packed. My husband immediately wanted to reconsider the decision. After a moment, I was able to encourage him to walk in and give this place a chance. Upon entering we were greeted by the hostess. She was friendly and accommodating. She didn't want us to wait and let us know that a table in the bar area was getting prepared and asked if we would consider a table top in the bar area... of course we would! It's our favorite place to sit at restaurants. We were seated promptly. However, the table and chairs were still moist from the cleaning. The second hostess noticed and immediately went to get a towel. When the towel didn't dry the seat we'll enough, she used her jeans on her leg to soak up the wetness! I was impressed with her insistance to make sure we had a dry place to sit. Just a few moments passed and we were greeted with our waitress Ashley. This lady was on the spot! She was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable without being overbearing or dull. She was equally informative on each dish we asked about showing concern for our satisfaction of our meal. Even offering us the option of a sample. Talk about exceptional customer service! The drinks were provided in a timely manner without an extensive wait. Considering that this place is incredibly busy, this was a bonus to be served so quickly. In uniform to everything else the food came out timely and it was perfection at its best! I ordered the ribeye and my husband ordered the catfish perdu. The steak was to order, tender, savory and satisfying. The catfish perdu was even better than expected (per my husband). Overall, we are sublimely pleased with our bellies full! We had leftovers because the do deliver on the portions! We will be back!! Thank you The Chimes!!!! ? ?

The Chimes is an absolute gem! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed dining experience. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure every visit feels special. Now, let's talk about the food. The strawberry jalapeño drink is a must-try—it's a refreshing blend of sweet and spicy that tantalizes your taste buds in the best way possible. It's a unique and delightful drink that I keep coming back for.And oh, the seafood lasagna! It's a culinary masterpiece. The layers of perfectly cooked seafood, creamy sauce, and melted cheese create a harmonious symphony of flavors. Each bite is pure indulgence, and I can't get enough of it.Overall, The Chimes never disappoints. Whether you're in the mood for a creative drink like the strawberry jalapeño or craving a comforting dish like the seafood lasagna, this place exceeds expectations every time. Highly recommended!

First visit to Lafayette location. No issues with food (delicious!) and atmosphere (casual). No problem with service, once we got it. We waited 20 minutes and had to ask a server who our server was before our presence was acknowledged. But once acknowledged, service was superb!

Let me preface this by saying I haven't eaten food in around 6 years, and this restaurant was an amazing introduction back into food.I ordered Mac and cheese and the extravagant stature of the soup spoons made it very delectable to eat.The Chime's club sandwhiches so tall they toppled giants with their pure punchs of picklely meat flavor.lemonade was ok

The food was expertly prepared. The chef did not use too much salt so you could really taste the other spices. We will definitely eat here again.

We got our order delivered by Uber eats. The bread pudding is Devine, and the charbroiled fish and spinach were excellent. We also had the stuffed mushrooms, and they have an awesome flavor to them. We also tried the fried fish, and it was great. I ordered the Mac n cheese as a side, and it was seasoned well. However, it was a little too cheesy, but the cheese didn't take away from the flavor. I highly recommend the Mac n cheese as well. Overall, it was a great experience with the food being delivered.

The Chimes has a cool vibe, probably one of the better atmospheres for a restaurant . It's got a roomy inside with a great bar stocked with a solid selection of beers on tap. The patio is is what draws your attention. It has a nice dining area to eat, but also a big open area to just hang out with a drink, converse or watch the game near the fireplace. The Chimes has enough TVs to catch a game without making you feel like you're in a sports bar.The food can be hit or miss depending on what you pick. Nothing’s been terrible, but a lot of the menu is just alright.I'd suggest going for the spinach artichoke dip to start, then maybe the chicken fried chicken, red beans and rice, or the shrimp and grits (they're a bit salty but still good) for your main. Good sides are the stuffed potato, sweet potato mash and macaroni. If you’re just looking to have a fun time, grab a snack or watch a game, The Chimes is a great spot. If you’re all about the food quality, you might want to check out some other places. Here is my ratingsSpinach and Artichoke Dip: 8/10. Solid choice to kick things off.Chicken Fried Chicken: 7.5/10. nice crust on it.Red Beans and Rice: 7/10. Could use more beans and less rice.Macaroni: 7.5/10. Nice and creamyKids Fried Fish: 8/10. Not the best flavor out there, but it’s not too fishy and the small strips are nice0. Kinda basic.Sweet Potato Mash: 7/10. Nicely done, not overly sweet.Kid-friendliness: The restaurant has plenty of space and a nice open patio but nothing specifically for kids
