My Dart team from Redd's Place in Gretna played here last night. I met the owner, great guy the place has been in his family for over 40 years. Lots of locals hang out there. Everyone was super friendly. We can't wait to go back.
I have walked into plenty of shady establishments in my time on this earth. I have often wondered if I would walk out of some, but occasionally I've found a gem. Cochiara is one such gem. Growing up in South Louisiana I spent a lot of time in Grand Isle. Heading there we would always stop at a friend's gas station/fishing supply/bar on the way to the island. These people are so awesome!! I live nearby, and when I'm dying of thirst because I don't have anything to drink at home, I can walk over the bridge and there they are! Very friendly and welcoming. By drink, I mean mostly Powerade, relol, but they have other drinks too. I hit up the beverage cooler and chips but they have the tv on, you can go sit at the bar and hang out awhile, pleasant atmosphere every time I've been there. Have always been open when I need them!
