.The storied "L A BAR" is a classic SW LA small-town drinkery; locals, boaters, wildife folks, & tourists flock in.N.B.: When last I visited, smoking was allowed inside; a giant negative for us. Sorry.Other than the smoke; a great little place with much history.Cajun musician Doug Kershaw got his start shining shoes out front on the sidewalk.Street parking, or just walk over from Bank Hotel or the nice treed lakefront park nearby. If you can stand the SMOKE, do visit.Rick.

This is a historic Local Bar in Lake Arthur LA. Has a new owner who has to maintain it as a Historic Site. Although local, everyone is welcome and all are friendly.
