People are friendly, however went there on 7/12 to get a donut and kolache. The cook was blowing his nose, wiped his nose on the glove. Then he proceed to cook a pan of donuts without changing the gloves. I declined my food. Do better especially with covid still in existence. That was beyond gross.

Best donuts in Lake Charles! I came all the way from Pennsylvania for these and it was well worth the trip! The staff was amazing and gave excellent customer service. The donuts are so soft and delicious. I just can't get enough!

In a 1200+ mile radius there are 2 places in Lake charles that have the best donuts I have ever had in that distance in my entire life and donut king has the absolute best donuts I ever had. They are so amazing that I can not even eat donuts anywhere else in the country that come close to 1/16th as good as donut king and the flavor has not changed in over 28+ years that I have had chocolate donuts from donut king. They should have a score of 12 out of 10 stars. Better than having ice cream for the first time is how I would describe how beyond perfect their donuts are.

My daughter and I stopped by for the first time while visiting the area and we loved these donuts. The employee was so nice and sweet. The frosting was delicious. If you’re passing through Lake Charles the Donut King is worth a visit!
