I ordered the loaded nachos and the employees let me sample an Eat Fit Chocolate Peanut Butter smoothie and it was better than the slim trim that I order from smoothie king. Highly recommend this place as the selection is healthy & vegan. 10/10“
“Spent the night in Lake Charles and was looking for a good coffee spot next morning. Mission accomplished. I absolutely loved this place, combining my favorite genre of space themed movies and TV shows (Trekkie and Star Wars fan), and good coffee, food and atmosphere. My cold brew was outstanding, smooth with notes of chocolate. I had Bacon, Eggs, Sausage and cheese minus the bread. It was awesome and filling. My GF had the Interstellar Cristo and she raved about how good it was. The staff were two young ladies and they were friendly and amazing. There was an awesome atmosphere with plenty of space to sit and enjoy your beverage and food orders. Come out and support local businesses and avoid chains. I highly recommend this place!“
“What a hidden treasure for our city!!! The pull pork is my go to every time we visit. The brisket nachos are piled high and delicious. Can't beat this place for true barbeque flavor.Kid-friendliness: The backyard is huge with activities for kids to play.“
“Wife and I came in for Saturday brunch. Excellent Tasso Egg Benedict!! They overcooked my wife's eggs a bit, but in their defense she didn't specify how she likes them. Their potatoes were to die for! Note: no one under 21 allowed. No artificial sweeteners for the coffee. Only sugar. Their service was pretty good for a bar and grill. The decor in the place was nice. Great music by Rusty Abshire!!!“

“Tried a small two topping pizza and a small Caesar salad. Pizza was good. Liked the crust, sauce and the cheese. A little light with the toppings though. There were a few tables open but had a good crowd. The wait time was about 20 - 25 minutes to get my take out. Not a lot of choices when it comes to pizza in Lake Charles, but I found this place better than the local, long time pizza place around the corner. / Followed up one year later and still coming back for the pizza.“
“We were in Lake Charles La visiting and decided to try Rikenjaks for lunch. I've heard so many good things about this restaurant we had to try it. Once we arrived the parking lot wasn't very full which was perfect for us. The patio area has a nice crowd. The kids and adults were really enjoying the giant Jenga and the checker game also. Once we went inside we were greeted with a hello and shortly afterwards our server Caroline Z came over. Once we got menus we were informed that they only have a small menu with burgers and appetizers during the week, but on weekends they have a bigger menu. We both order sweet tea and after looking over the menu we both decided to try the burgers. We decided to start with the southwestern eggroll appetizer and they were delicious. For our main courses I decided on the Brewpub burger which consisted of beer battered onion ring, pepper jack cheese, bacon and smoky barbecue sauce with Cajun fries. My hubby ordered the American Classic Burger which consisted of 8oz patty, cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion with mustard and mayo with waffle fries. Everything was absolutely delicious. The burgers were huge and very tasty. The fries were awesome. The burger was so big we couldn't finish our fries, but we brought them home. This experience was the best ever and we will definitely be back.“
“Beautiful, elegant bakery/deli that transports you to France. Very generous portions. My sticky bun was not fresh out of the oven but still tasty with maple flavored filling. My ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich was huge but the grilled bread tasted burnt which I personally don't like. I would like to try again the next time we're in Lake Charles.“
