We just left Saltgrass. Hostess wasn't friendly at all. Drew our server was so attentive and polite. Overall the food was good. But really NO baked potatoes at 4:45. We ordered then we were informed right before our meals came out we needed to substitute our side. No offer to comp us or anything.The kitchen manager needs to do better.

What an amazing steak we had tonight! By far the best steak in the lake area. I’ll even go as far to say, that in over 50 years living in the Lake Charles area that was the best steak that we have ever had in a restaurant. We had the Pats Ribeye.:: and oh my goodness! It was on point. Super tender cut of meat and seasoned perfectly. We honestly just had Taste of Texas in Houston two weeks ago for about double the cost of what we had here, and not nearly the quality that we had tonight. Saltgrass honestly blew it away. Ashley, the assistant manager was incredible, and our service from Hannah was as good as we’ll get anywhere. She was super courteous and made regular rounds to check on us. Overall a five star experience. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in need of a good steak.

I really do not know what more I can do. I am always miss items when I place orders. This time I called and spoke to the manager asking them to please stop leaving items I pay for. This time yall left the garlic mash potatoes. I also ask the Doordash driver to make sure not to forget anything.
This is the second time I ate at this Saltgrass and vowed not to ever come back due to horrible food and service. We were served COLD tortilla soup and waited about 4 to 5 minutes to get the waiter back to our table. Another waiter took the soup back and said they would warm it up. Well you can't warm up tortilla soup without the tortillas being soggy. Finally we asked for the manager who said she would get fresh. I told her we did not want the soup and the entree to come out at the same time and guess what .... IT DID!!!! After refusing the mush tortilla soup the Chicken Laredo vegetables looked like it was cooked 3 times and thrown on the chicken. The food was inedible. I took a picture of it but could not upload it on the comment. Also the Manager never came back out to talk to us. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. Still waiting on ticket to pay and get out of here 30 minutes later.

This is one of my favorite steakhouses. But my experience at this particular location inside the casino I was very disappointed It's bad enough. I had to wait an hour and 45 minutes to get my food but when I did receive it? It was very very bad at ordered a medium rare steak it came Very rare My stick was colder than my salad. Is being a Landry"s select member. I was very disappointed. I won't stop going To saltgrass steakhouse, I just won't ever eat it. That one in the casino whether again and i'm there quite frequently

I want to give well deserved praise to our waiter Tyler for making our visit a great experience, The food and the atmosphere were defiantly up to par with the service and we couldn't have been more pleased.

I ordered a bone-in ribeye which is quite expensive. I asked that it be split with my guest. She wanted rare (and that was fine); but I ordered well-done. It was actually burned -- very dry -- no juice, very little flavor. I also ordered asparagus to be split with my guest. I got asparagus on my plate that was overcooked and tasteless; my guest did not get any. I must say, however, that the service was excellent, and I will come back. Thanks, Martha Miles
