This place is a regular go to for great Chinese dishes. Hot Pepper Chicken is our favorite dish, and the egg rolls are always great. Nice little sit down restaurant with friendly staff and great Chinese staples. We often stop by for take out on the way through LaPlace.Vegetarian options: They can make any dish without meat or will make substitution for you.

The food just wasn’t it. Sometimes you go to places that may excel at doing other dishes well, but the Sweet and Sour Shrimp w/Shrimp Fried Rice wasn’t really good. The flavor was lacking in both the rice and the shrimp. They didn’t have shrimp egg rolls or spring rolls which is a bummer but not a deal breaker. I will try again and pick something else and hope it’s better than what I ordered today. My first overall experience for Chinese King is “meh”.Kid-friendliness: It was a relaxed atmosphere with dim lighting. Not overly crowded and plenty of space.Parking: Parking was no trouble at all and there was plenty of it with ease of access.

Didn't even get to ordering. Lady at the counter was so rude, I didn't hesitate to leave. We were the only people there, and I can see why. As soon as she gave me the menu to order, she told me to hurry up and order. It was 6:30pm

Over the years Chinese King has been solid with their food quality. My wife and I are having lunch right now and this one word review. Yummy!!!
Horrible service and horrible food. They actually cook their rice early in the morning and serve it for lunch. The rice is old and cold. The service is also the worst! Very rude place of business.

If I could do a O I would. The attitude of the owner I cannot handle. I have a food allergy and cannot have any flour. Each time I ask about which food does not have flour, she gives me a hard time. If you luck out and have one of her children wait on you, you are fine. I also cannot have hot seasonings, which the fried rice came out with.

I've been going to Chinese King for years. They undoubtedly HAD, the best chinese food around. I'm extremely particular when it comes to chinese food. If they have a buffet or pictures of the food on the wall, I'm probably not going to go there. I no longer live in St. John but my daughters do so whenever I go there I usually go to Chinese King. Never again though. I went a couple weeks ago when I was on my way home from Metairie. Called in the order for pick up. Drove home, (an hour away) sat down at the table to eat. Everything except for the combination fried rice tasted old. I know what leftovers taste like and I know what the texture of food that has been in the microwave feels like. Everything was old, bland and a major disappointment. I will never go back to Chinese King. I'm not happy about this at all.
