Listen yall.... we NEVER find food in La Place THIS GOOD. They make baked beans.. TRY THEM. They aren't your average baked beans. I was blown away by the explosion of flavor that smacked my lips when my wife gave me a bite. Gumbo is off the charts. They also sell their own hot sauce in house as well as other things like smoked sausages and spices. Definitely a hole in the wall that I'm glad we gave a try. We will be back!

Best catfish and gumbo I’ve ever had in my life! Not gonna be able to enjoy that anywhere else now. Even the bread and sides are top tier. You haven’t been to La Place if you haven’t been here.

I ordered the Brisket sandwich and potato salad and I was disappointed. The brisket is thinly sliced, but I had fat on mine. The flavor was there. It has a great smoke ring, too. The potato salad tasted more like mashed potatoes. Bbq sauce is not good.I would not recommend this food. Perhaps the other options might be better.
Had the brisket sandwich and it was like beef jerky, dry and chewy . I thought it was just my sandwich but 2 other people ordered the same thing and both of theirs was the same .
