The hamburger was like cardboard as was the bun. The onion rings were good and the chicken sandwich was good. Don't order a burger.

I went to get a take out po boy. I had a seat to wait in. But the wait was no time at all. The sandwich was so long, my husband and I split it. It was stuffed with delicious fried fish. The wait was terrific. The food was terrific and the service was very good. I definitely would go backThank you for all the good service.

While camping in our RV at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville, LA, went to lunch at Triple Nickel Grill about 1.5 miles from the state park in a small strip mall. We had seen raving reviews on the Lippert Scout FB Group. There are actually two restaurants, one in Mandeville and another up the road in Madisonville. Mick decided to have the burger that made them famous, the Nickel Burger with cheddar cheese with mayo, lettuce, and tomato. Karla had their Pickle Burger with lots of fried pickles in and out of the burger with a side of ranch dressing. The burger was dressed with cheddar cheese with mayo, lettuce, and tomato. The 1/2 pound charbroiled patties were cooked to order and the fresh buns were perfectly toasted. We both concluded that the burgers were juicy and charbroiled was a plus, so they were a solid Good. We both got their shoestring fries. The fries were Very Good and there was a lot. One of our deciding factors in grading a restaurant's food (Not Impressed, OK, Good, Very Good, and the The Best) is whether we would return to the restaurant. With the variety of other local food options such as PO Boys and Seafood along with the food quality and great service, we would definitely go back when in the area again.

We had been wanting to try this place for a while and couldn't have been more disappointed. We ordered a BLT and a specialty hamburger. I wasn't given an itemized receipt, so I asked for one. After sitting at the table, I noticed that we were charged $14 for the BLT instead of $12 which was printed on the menu. I went back and said that I had been overcharged. I was told that the menu price was not accurate. They did not offer to refund my $2, so I persisted by saying that customers should be told if the menu prices were not accurate. She said that the manager would work on it. The price of a fountain drink is not listed on the menu. It was $3. Perhaps that would be expected in Ruth's Chris, but not in this restaurant. My BLT may have been the worst I've ever had. It had an adequate but minimal amount of bacon on it, but the bacon was so tough and chewy -- almost like beef jerky. It was awful, and the French fries were the worst I've had anywhere. I ate one and threw the rest away. My fiancé did not enjoy his hamburger. The meat flavor was okay, but it had so much mayo on it that he had to abandon the bottom of the bun and simply eat the meat with a fork. Mayo was gushing out of the sides of the bun. $16. We finished eating, and no one ever came over to refund my $2, so I had to ask for it again on the way out. After reading some comments here, I guess we were probably charged extra for using a credit card and didn't even realize it. We didn't see that posted at the register or on the menu. It was an expensive lunch and one of the worst we've had anywhere. I eat lunch out every day. Needless to say, we won't be back. There are far too many other options nearby with much better food and lower prices. They'll be out of business within two years at this rate. If there is one thing I cannot live with, it's sneaky deception. Not posting a price for soft drinks is intentional. Not informing guests that menu prices are not accurate is likely intentional as well. Too bad, because I live nearby.

Stopped by on a college visit road trip with my daughter. Had the chicken parm po boy and the loco jalapeno burger. Generous portions cooked just right. Attentive service. A bit loud, but not objectionably so. Need to drop in again when I can partake in the bourbon, because that looked like an ambitious collection!

The one thing that consistently shines at this place are the burgers. From the first juicy bite, there is no doubt about the integrity of the ingredients - simple as that may seem. There's just something elusive about a perfectly prepared hamburger, and this place delivers for me every time. This is one of very few places anywhere where I would not hesitate to order a burger medium-rare. Also, always neat and clean, quick and polite counter service, crisp, clear iced tea, and servers who care enough to keep the condiment bottles wiped down and shiny clean. Not cheap, but, at least they make good on their promise pretty much every time. TC

This was a great place to eat during our team meetings. We all enjoy the meatloaf special and all the delicious fried options as well. I am posting this afterwards so I don't have any pictures.
