This is what I got when I ordered my pasta.. the chicken looks under cooked and the whole thing looks as if they just threw everything in the box this is very is so acceptable! Then the bread pudding I got also had under cooked eggs at the bottom. Very disappointing and will no longer be going back.

Made dinner reservations a week in advance asking if they would allow me to bring a slice of birthday cake to be brought out after dinner. They happily accepted doing this and informed me they had candles and their own line of deserts but if I wanted to bring my own they would accommodate me (without an additional charge). The day of the birthday dinner, around 2pm (dinner is 630pm), I bring the cake and candle, advising that I would order (specifically) crème brulee after dinner and no matter what my better half ordered, they would bring out the cake with candle lit. Dinner time... The food was good and staff was very friendly no complaints. After dinner, I order desert and she didn't want anything. I get my desert AND NOTHING ELSE COMES OUT. No cake nothing. JACK SHIT... I'm getting the death stare from my GF because I'm telling her that i didn't do anything special for her dinner (because I'm messing with her) to when my desert comes out AND NOTHING ELSE, she really starts believing I didn't do anything... I about to die. In front of my GF, I finally had to ask the staff what about my birthday cake I brought earlier etc, and they were like oh I'm sorry (it was written In the reservation book next to my name and time!!) this special request just didn't get passed onto our server, who was pretty cool. Kinda killed the whole vibe of the dinner. Now, we didn't blame the server for this but I will say I am pissed about this. As far as I'm concerned I will NOT recommend this place nor will we return. Sal & Judy's... That place was packed full when we went and for our special request there it went off without a hitch. But, Cafe Lynn... Maybe 6 out of 13 tables (in the main dining room we were in) were occupied (approx 13 people). It was slow. It was quie. It was a relaxed evening... And this dinner still got FUCKED UP. I don't care about my stuff getting messed up but when it comes to this woman, I take things somewhat personal.

Only gave this expensive, tasteless restaurant one star because you have to give at least one. It really doesn't even deserve one star. If you're on a bland diet this is your place. The food was super bland. Nothing had flavor. The bread they served tasted as if they had just taken out of a bag and put it in a basket and served it to us. It had not been warmed. The service was at a snail's pace. It took over an hour and a half to get salads and that was after asking about them. The plate was so hot it burned me three times using my napkin trying to move it onto the table. The pasta seemed to have been microwaved. The food was terrible and we had several different dishes. No one liked the food. The place is loud. You can only hear the person sitting next to you talk. I couldn't hear the person sitting across from me and I don't have hearing problems. Anyway, skip this place if it's on your list of places to go.

Cafe Lynn is accessible, one story level, spacious, classic, warm, romantically charming even for lunch. It host a small bar area with a few tables and a dining room. Would suggest reservations if you plan on eating formally. The food is southern Louisiana style dressed up. As for myself, I met my husband here for lunch. I have no complaints. The facility is clean. It’s not over crowded. It warm and charming with 10 star service. ?

Excellent food and excellent service. The sautéed crab claw's appetizer is amazing! The steaks are great and cooked to perfection. I love the blue cheese salad with added grilled shrimp...sooo good! Another go to is the oyster salad! The fried oysters are always cooked perfectly! Overall great experience and will definitely be back.

Used to be better with a better menu. They dropped my favorites from the menu. They have never been able to return to Pre-COVID quality. It is consistent though and we are able to find a few items when we run out of other ideas for restaurants. Seriously, most of the restaurants in Mandeville are of higher price with the same or similar menu items. I swear they share the same pool of workers who either quit or are fired and re-surface in the next kitchen. Mandeville/Covington restaurants saw their heydays in the mid to late 1990's.

My wife and I love this place. Try the crab claws both ways! Everything i have had here has been phenomenal. The service is absolutely wonderful. My drink was never empty, and the table was cleared continuously. This place offers a great range of similar yet unique dishes. You can have a simple lunch with a friend for $50. After appetizers and drinks, it can get pricey, but it's worth it.
