The food was Amazing. We had the brie to start off and I got the lemon ricotta pancakes. They were so good. Our server was very helpful and super nice. Can't wait to come back.

Lovely experience. Food, service and atmosphere was wonderful. Had breakfast here with my husband, and 15 month old daughter. My husband had the lemon ricotta pancakes, with cheese grits and I had the Folsom omelette with potatoes, and English muffin. Amazeballs! We all thoroughly enjoyed the smothered Brie for appetizer, which is baked Brie smothered in apples, pecans, walnuts raisins and honey.Just delicious. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Thank y’all for a lovely dining experience.

This is a great little restaurant to visit once in a while, or if you're visiting from out of town. Or if you just would like to buy an omelet for the price of a few dozen eggs at the grocery store.Don't get me wrong, the omelets are amazing. But most people couldn't afford to eat breakfast here a few times a week.Service has always been great, even when it was packed to the walls. My go to is the Abita Springs omelet. I have been known to get the chicken and waffles though. Can't go wrong with either.

I highly recommend the La Lou special Crab Cake Napoleon! It is so delicious! I live in Algiers and I cross the lake to eat that dish!

Phenomenal experience from start to finish! My biscuits and gravy were EVERYTHING and my husband loved every bit of his omelette. Even the 16-month old crushed her sausage, biscuit, and eggs. Such a cute place with a laidback atmosphere. It was the perfect ending to our weekend in Mandeville. If ever in the area, do stop on by!Kid-friendliness: Easy for the baby to grab a high chair and also enjoyed the kids menu!

My first time and will definitely not be my last. Delightful happy atmosphere, wonderful smiling service (even though we stayed quite a while). My salad with the grilled shrimp was out of this world and i want to go get it again right away. Beautiful outside space for lovely days and great parking right in town. Thank you to all of the staff - it was a special reunion between friends and it will be our "place" from now on. BTW the prices were great as well.

I just walked out after sitting for 40 minutes waiting on my order. All I ordered was a salad. There were three other tables outside and maybe four or five inside. Not busy on a holiday week and after 40 minutes, and the sewer smell coming from next to the facility, I decided it was time to get out. It's a shame, because I think their food is pretty good, but clearly they've got service and kitchen issues that need to be improved.if you come, pack your patience and lower your expectations

Ever since apx 2003, when we started going to LaLous, it has always been great. My friend and I like going to breakfast here because it has a unique atmosphere and very conscientious servers. Always love the cuisine.

The food was very tasty, however some sauces were a lil salty--crabcake napoleon . Also All of tge entrees could have been served hotter, perhaps some dishes were plated 1st, but had to wait till entire table over was completed. THE COFFEE WAS LUKE WARM TOO, COULD HAVE BEEN HOTTER. PLATE PRESENTATION WAS NICE, PLEASING TO THE EYE. THE WAITER WAS KIND, knowledgeable of menu, well mannered . ANSWERED ALL INQUIRIES ABOUT DISHES LISTED ON MENU. OVERALL A FANTASTIC DINNING EXPERIENCE. YOU MUST GIVE IT A TRY WHEN YOU IN THE AREA OR LOOKING FOR SOMEWHERE NEW.ON 1 NEGATIVE NOTE: THERE WAS A FOWL ODOR During YOUR WAIT OUTSIDE THE RESTAURANT AND smell WAS very present BY OUTSIDE DINNING TABLES, ONE MAJOR REASON REQUEST FOR INSIDE SEATING WAS 20 MIN WAIT, BUT WENT FAST...THE ODOR smelled like a Sewage issue, it really was bad. HOPEFULLY UPON NEXT VISIT, IT WILL BE GONE !! The was an unpleasant dissatisfaction & disappointment to the dinning experience.

Not what it used to be. This place used to be run by a group of older ladies that were always happy to be here. The food used to be amazing. Today was just okay, unfortunately by the time I got to eat it it was cold, as my fork was encrusted with someone else's food when I unwrapped it from the napkin. Lots of flies if you eat outside, literally like playing whack a mole. Server never came to check back, even though he mentioned how slow he was. Lots of dirty tables. Won't be back.
