It's ok as far as Mexican food goes in Louisiana, but those who know New Mexican food can tell that this is not. The green chile sauce is not Hatch green, they don't serve sopapillas with or after the meal, and they use Spanish rice instead of papas. I was hoping for something a little more authentic New Mexican, but it was not.Vegetarian options: Unlike most other Mexican restaurants that we've been to, they said that their refried and whole beans, and salsas, don't contain and lard or other animal ingredients.

This was my first visit to this restaurant, kinda weird, seeing as I grew up in the area. The service was satisfactory, considering there was a huge party of folks in the next room and it was obviously going to take time to serve them all and they were there first.The food came fresh and hot. The tacos were good, although they could have had a little more meat on them. The refried beans and Mexican rice were on point. The beer was ice cold and the waitress was very friendly.

Worst experience in customer service ever in 52 years of life at a restaurant. My wife was assaulted verbally and we were asked to leave after ordering the same dish we order every Tuesday at the restaurant. Always have a great experience there but this time the Server/Manager on duty was unaccommodating with a simple order of cheese enchiladas. Why? My wife complemented the server upon entry and her nails and then she was belittled for her order that we have ordered at this establishment countless times. Instead of being polite or accommodating with a simple order she told us we couldn’t have cheese enchiladas casserole style and that’s “I’ve worked her 7 years and you can’t have it that way.” My wife hadn’t added the shrimp yet or completed her order before being interrupted and berated and we were ordering a dish that we’ve called in and eaten so many times before at this restaurant. I defended my wife by stating that I’ve ordered the same dish as well and that her attitude was out of line, and the waitress said, “Your going to have to leave.” She kept going escalating a situation which was a simple order. Personal problems should never spill over into the workplace and that’s the only explanation that makes sense in the way we were treated.

We are regulars here and we got to the restaurant 15 minutes before it closed. We didn’t realize it was closing at 8 pm, but once we did realize closing time, we apologized to the waitress. She was rude about it and didn’t acknowledge our apology, and continued making us feel rushed. We also overheard the staff complaining about where we were seated. We continued to feel rushed the whole time despite understanding that we walked in late and were an “inconvenience”. However, as somebody who has worked in this industry, I never made customers feel this way, especially when they were polite about knowing that they inconvenienced the staff (even though technically, we didn’t do anything wrong and arrived before closing)! Now we don’t want to return to this local restaurant that we used to love. Bummer!

Service: 10. Jayce was perfect! Food served PROMPTLY! Ambiance: 10. Nostalgic, refurbished home. Adorable! Food: 10. Chips are amazing. Just the right texture and crispness. Very fresh and warm. Salsa is wonderful! Bean burrito was stellar. The bite of chicken burrito my wife shared was tender, flavorful, and moist! Would be happy to return!!!

We went after a soccer tournament with the soccer team and our experience was good. Food was good we only had one slight problem with the service but otherwise it was fine.Parking: There's extra parking in the back but it's a one size vehicle to get to and when we got there there were only two spots left.

Walked into one section of restaurant to be told their by a server that their short staffed and we can’t sit in this area. Ok went to another section to then wait on service , finally ordered drinks which can to us wrong , nachos deluxe sucked , meat was bland and the cheese sauce that comes with it was clearly microwaved . Where’s the management or owner at , should address their internal issues before theirs no business at all.
