The food was just so so. We went for Sunday brunch and had reservations. The place was packed. Crazy busy and noisy. The waitress Jordan was very pleasant but kinda hard to find her when our Table all Needed refills On water. She was pleasant to announce the days special of soft shell crab. They were not huge as she said and greasy greasy. My friend got sick when she got home. The other people had the tuna, one the almondine and one the fried shrimp platter. They said the were good. The onion rings were also very greasy. We enjoyed our $5 bloody Mary's and left. Disappointed.

WOW! What a great place! It was packed, but you don't really care. They have some nice rocking chairs looking out over the lake to calm your nerves, if that doesn't work they also have 3 bars upstairs that you can "pick your poison" and chill. We got some drinks and hung out upstairs overlooking the beautiful lake and all the activities that were going on. I think our wait was over an hour, but it only seemed a short while as the view was spectacular and the conversation was great with other guests. Everyone is very friendly here. The staff was top notch and even recognized the regular customers, which I plan to be from now on. Let's get to the food... In a word - Outstanding! From the chargrilled oysters to the chili shrimp appetizers to the main course, all was well more than anticipated. The cheesecake dessert was out of this world, creamy with the best flavor I've ever had. Definitely give this place a try. You won't regret it.

On a nice weekend afternoon, the outdoor area is fabulous. This is a very unique and historic property. A wide variety on the menu. They have great fried seafood, oysters on the half shell and grilled. Good burger, hangar steak and pork chop. Fish almondine and more. It as upscale food as the other excellent pat Gallagher restaurants, but it's very good. Oh, try the onion rings!

Really wanted to love this place. Love all of Pat's other places. Off the start it was down hill. Made a reservation, didn't know I would be yelled at twice by servers for wanting to sit outside. Only need reservation to sit inside, outside first come first serve (fyi). Menu looked great and got excited over crawfish. Told it was about 30-35 minute wait. I was ok with that, ordered a bunch of appetizers and drink to hold. Waited about an hour and asked for an update and was told it was ready and will be out shortly, then another 30 minutes went by. This is when I saw a table across from me that have arrived about 30 minutes ago eating a bunch of crawfish. I was still waiting. This is the point when I was a little irritated. The server and manager only gave excuses. I paid the bill minus the crawfish I never got after 2 hours. I really wanted to love this place especially with the view.

First we needed to be sat. The hostess “helping” us wouldn’t even direct us where we needed to be. Just pointed a direction and grunted. Thanks for that. But she’s a young lady, well management are up your training game. There were available seats outside and she said we couldn’t sit there as they were reserved for bigger parties. So what’s the trade off here? Seat CURRENT and living customers who want to sit there or save the seats for the imaginary customers who might show up. It was a lovely day. Would’ve preferred to sit outside. Alas we got stuck inside with Devonte. Oh just wait for that story— more to follow.Devonte arrived at our table. Each and every visit he literally was running away from us instead of planting his feet and listening he was trying to find ways to sprint away as quick as possible. Maybe his cigarettes needed attending outside? I don’t know he never told us why he ran from his tables like a frightened doe.He finally came back with drinks. Two coke zeroes. Mine (pictured here) had white floaters in it. Old soap from dishwasher cycle? Mildew from an old, stored glass? Excrement? Again don’t know.Devonte would leave us for 10-15min Intervals. Well, those cigarettes need attending to like a babysat child. So we should excuse him for that right?Another server brought the food out. Miniscule serving of fries that were also lukewarm. Grease-fried potatoes, cold? Ok—Moving on. The red onions for my burger were yellow and wilted, clear signs of age and poor refrigeration. Alright— moving on.Oh Devonte is back. I’m actually turned around in my chair now having to raise my voice because he is speed-walking away again “checking” on us. I’m talking to someone as they move further and further away from our table at an accelerated rate. This guy is a terrible waiter. I’m sorry,I should say awful. He’s awful. But he seems new so maybe give him a break? Again? Managers— are y’all asleep also?? Train your team to care more. Just even to PRETEND to care more. These are all the same winners who complain and moan about small tips. EARN THEM. How’s that?Oh and the “jumbo” 22$ lump crab cake? HAHA!! The only jumbo thing here was the disappoint plus the “I knew it” feeling when ordering a “jumbo” crab cake. For 22$, mind you. Also pictured here. With a messy garnish of some old veggies on the side and some over-salty “remoulade”. Who prepares this stuff or menu or serves it….cooks it? Oscar and Elmo?Very disappointing experience.Burger meat was tasty. And crab cake had decent flavor.Services and presentations F’s across the board.Management it’s all on you. Fix it!

Had reservations and were seated right away. Ordered within 10 minutes and waited over an hour for our food. My husband's burger was overdone and horrible so sent that back. Rest of the food was mediocre. Will not return!

Beautiful location and very friendly staff but the food didn't meet my expectations, everything was just blah. Our waiter was great though I wish I would have gotten his name, I just know it was his second week working there. It was also very pricey but what isn't now-a-days unfortunately. I would much rather spend the money at 527.

This restaurant offers awesome food, a great atmosphere, and impeccable service (Thank You Mercedes). The portions are generous, and the prices are reasonable. We left satisfied and happy like always.

We had a nice lunch. Got the pork chop, they recommend medium, it was well done. I ate it anyways. Charbroiled oyster were good. I give it a B. Wife got the Tuna, it was a B as well. House salad was good. We enjoyed it. Service was good. Food wasn't up to Gallagher's standings in my opinion. Will be back though, to try different things. Great atmosphere!! Great company!!

I made a reservation during the week for a Saturday lunch. I was texted the night before stating that if I wanted to eat outside as it was supposed to be a nice day I would have to cancel my reservation and show up and wait for a table if not immediately available. I don't understand this policy. It seems if you have the forethought to make a reservation you should have your choice. Other than that it was great as usual.

Atmosphere a 7 , service 9, food, 9+. value 8.5. As we all know dining out is a lot about expectations. All the hard surfaces (floor/walls/ceiling) contributed to a loud environment. My observation: Casual/Upscale dining. Waiter was ok and attentive enough although the toothpick in his mouth was somewhat disturbing. Was pleasantly surprised with my entree, (the Gulf Fish Almondine). It was very good! Overall a good experience. Location and View EXCELLENT...

Food Excellent-poboy bread great, fish great, all food cooked well and delivered quickly.Bartender guy with tattoos and dark hair up top….no clue!!! Strange interaction, ordering was not good, to cash out I waited in front of his while he counts his money down, finished than stood there….finally I say something and he says “Ya need something”. Too bad, girl next to him with braids was good.Asked for Stella and he gives me a sweet beer. I asked manager and they don’t even offer it out there and he gave me jucifer. They have a ways to go before they find the right people. And no music up top….just silent eating……no bueno.Oyster poboy good!!
