Decent food, but way too expensive. No service, but that doesn't stop them for asking for a tip when checking out.

The new location on barataria is beautiful! The food is delicious as always and the staff is always friendly and smiling. I love everything on the menu, but some of my favorites are, of course, the Mew Orleans Muffaletta, Shrimp Poboy, roast beef on muffaletta bread, eggplant sticks, and the fried mushrooms. You can't go wrong with anything!

So I'm writing a first review for this location, and it's already closed. ***SIGH*** I can see a reason or two for this. The small muffaletta and the hot sausage po-boy we ordered were outstanding; great bread, great meats and cheeses and all the dressings. We were able to bring home leftovers, so portions ample. Now: no table service; in fact, service overall was sketchy. I had to check on our potato salad sides which were not with our sandwiches on the tray, only to find it awful and certainly not worth the $4.40 per 1/3 c serving. (I asked the cashier when we ordered if it was homemade and she wasn't sure.) The canoli was okay but not memorable. If we find ourselves in Terrytown (another location) we'd be down for another muffaletta, but skipping the potato salad.

Our food was fresh & hot. My wife had the popcorn shrimp ? platter, and I had the fish platter. The customer service was really good. I like that you can dine in and just relax and enjoy your food and the atmosphere.

Guys! DiMartino's has found their forever spot! This area has been a number of many different types of foodies. While they all have been good, most Westbank foodies will agree you can't beat this tried and true menu, the food speaks for itself! Staff are very professional but fun. The owner runs a tight ship and this I feel has contributed to the success of this restaurant.
