Walked in sat down and was immediately greeted and waited on friendly and professional. Recieved a traditional king cake and got a side Bisquit with egg and cheese that was great and my coworkers ate the entire king cake and all complimented how good it was. I WAITED ABOUT 15mins for OVERCOOKED GLAZED BEIGNETS! When I asked for it to be re-cooked I was told no because of the cook(he didn’t want to re-cook it)! I asked for refund & was told no & the Manager has to be there. This was around 4:45pm. BAD customer service!

Let me begin this review with the fact that they will not let you place an order over the phone for carry out. I get there and order a roast beef poboy. It took a long time to get a roast beef poboy and nothing else with this order. I know they had orders ahead of me because the drive thru had some vehicles in a line. However, to make a roast beef poboy with sliced deli roast beef, it took a long time for this small order. To top it off, the sandwich with tax was a little over $15 for a 10-inch poboy. That is with no sides only sandwich.

I ordered my food online for pick up. I ordered 2 chicken and waffle plates and a sausage croissant with egg and cheese. I paid $1.49 extra for the croissant and added a tip. When I picked up the food the worker read the items that I ordered from the receipt. The bag was tied shut. When I got home my sausage sandwich was made with toast yet was charged for the croissant. The chicken and waffle plates did not come with pancake syrup. The food was good but was disappointed with the mistakes despite paying extra and giving a tip. Beware when ordering online and make sure to check your order before leaving.
I saw it posted, "Joe's knows donuts." Yes, Joe's knows donuts. I can walk in and get 1/2 doz mixed and be out in 5 min or less. Sit down? Forget it. Saturday morning (around 9A) we walked in and sat down for breakfast. STARVED! It took about 7 min for someone to greet us and bring us drinks. From there it didn't get any quicker. We placed our food order about 7 min later, then waited 30 min for our food to come out. Ironically, it came out in to go containers, because at that point, when we finished eating, we weren't going to wait for to go containers for leftovers. 3 egg build your own omelet was very good. I asked for 2 egg and it came out 2 egg size. Husband's Lena Bowl sunny side up looked great, except it wasn't very hot, as if it had sat in the back. I asked him to send it back, but he wouldn't. Toast came out for his order, but mine came out about halfway through my meal. Service: The people working were very nice and kept apologizing, but I could hear them verbalizing their frustration, and in the end it was shared they were overwhelmed and understaffed for all the in-house and Uber Eats and Door Dash orders, because they didn't have enough kitchen staff. While I understand you don't want to turn away business, some parameters around delivery service hours could be established, and/or extra staff specifically for Saturday morning or for delivery service orders might help. I know we will NEVER eat in breakfast at this location again, because when you're hungry, you're hungry, and we made the effort to get in our car and come to the location to eat. We did get a 1/2 doz mixed to go and enjoyed them at our home. The two stars is for the donuts, and the staff left in the trenches to handle this mess.

Joe’s on Lapalco, Marrero has great atmosphere. I love starting the day with coffee and a doughnut or two ?. Joe’s staff and patrons are friendly and welcoming. I higly recommend this establishment to start your morning. Shop local, eat at Joe’s.

Trash..only 1 cook and 1 person taken orders. there was two female who came in after me and my family member that also paid after us and other customers but got their food before us because the cook knew them.. he also came out to speak to them .. we waited almost a hour and a half and the waiter im guessing new them too kept apologizing to them for the wait but they got they food before me and my family member and everyone who order before them.. I’m visiting from out of town and would never return to this location again..

This is absolutely unacceptable. $7 for this. I will never go here again. I will tell everyone I know not to eat here. Sad thing is it has happened before and I asked before I ordered just to get ripped off again. I hate this location. Don't waste your time. To top it off they were greasy and I couldn't even eat the small portion I received.
