Tonight was my first time dining at Andrea's and I cannot believe I waited so long. From the moment our party of 10 arrived, the servers were attentive and accommodating to all of our requests. I really appreciated the creativity of the dishes on the menu and decided to order the Grouper topped with Rockefeller sauce and Fried Oysters. It was excellent and not like some of the same old standard seafood dishes that you get at many other Italian restaurants. I honestly thought about getting one to go, as I liked it so much. I also ordered the Salmon Florentina to go, for my husband who was home dog sitting. He really loved his dish as well. Our table ordered off of many different parts of the menu and everyone was happy with their dishes. We got to meet Chef Andrea tonight. We asked him to come to our table for photo ops and he not only accommodated us but was so pleasant and funny. It says a lot to me, when a Chef will come out and greet his guest. In closing, I absolutely enjoyed my dining experience at Andrea's and would definitely come back again. Thank you Chef Andrea and staff. You all really made this a wonderful and memorable evening for us all.

Service here is just plain POOR. And there were only 2 tables of people in the dinning room. Fish dish was not seasoned. Bland. Shrimp arrabiatta was tough shrimp with all spice. No flavors came through other than red pepper. Not a good dish. Soup was unpleasant. Could have made something better at home. The drinks and food took forever to come. Service was just not good. Still don’t know what the waiters were doing with so few people in the restaurant. Will not be returning.

Can't have a bad time here. Good cocktails, extensive wine list, bar food or order from the restaurant menu. Live music that gets patrons involved. House pizza is fresh and authentic...I always ask for extra Italian sausage and black olives and people come ask what I got.

My wife and I always seem to end up at Andrea's for lunch when errands or business brings us to Metairie during the day. The service is always excellent. The servers are professionals and dress the part. The food is always good. My wife recently had a wonderful spinach salad. I had the spaghetti and meatballs, substituting rigatoni for the spaghetti. Growing up with an Italian grandmother, I know what a good red sauce is all about. I rarely love the red sauce at most Italian restaurants. With my first taste at Andrea's I had to make my wife taste it. It was perfect! If you want to know what good red sauce is all about, this is the place.

From the moment we walked in the door for our dinner reservations, we sensed a lack of hospitality and professionalism and it went from bad to horrible. Not at all what we expected from an acclaimed Chef and restaurant which bears his name. We were seated in a large and noisy banquet room. Cold bread was brought with butter dented in its foil wrapper. The waitstaff was disorganized and apologetic. We ordered appetizers which were cold, tasteless and thrown on a plate that had dried food on it. The bisque soup was (unintentionally) cold, inedible and had a few corn kernels swimming around in it, nothing else, just a few corn kernels - not sure why they landed in the soup. The Red Fish and Lasagna entrees came on hot plates with food particles seared on the plate, giving the appearance of unwashed plates. No effort by the kitchen or staff was given to ensure clean, well presented dinner plates. At these price points - even on a busy or especially on a busy night, a patron expects clean plates, hot and tasty food and a well trained and professional staff. This is still a hospitality business! The entrees were a C minus at best. The Red Fish was translucent and cold on the inside. The Lasagna tasted like it was not freshly prepared. Both were consistent with our overall experience - a massive disappointment. The sides were not worth mentioning. We were so disappointed with the evening, we did not want to try dessert. Our highly anticipated evening was a complete waste! I hope that this horrible experience was just a bad night at Andrea’s as it is unimaginable that the food/service we experienced is what earned this restaurant its accolades.
came here for the first time for some hopeful happy hour drinks and snacks since their website states, as written by Chef Andrea, "everyday happy hour.." Cheryl was a new bar staff and was extremely nervous and unattentive; she spent all of her time adding more glasses to the hundreds already hanging from the roof, while my wife and I sat looking at her with empty wine glasses for a good ten minutes. I finally called her by name and she got us more wine. Those are the tasks you do when everyone at the bar (total of three patrons) have full glasses. In her defense, she said ahe was new there; Maybe she'll find her groove. My wife and I got two glasses of cheap $8 Cab since we were already there (which were delicious) , then brought our business to T Avoli for THEIR daily happy hour. Piano was super loud and annoying; a pianist that plays that forte/loud needs a keyboard aith a volume switch. Unique place and even saw Chef Andrea making rounds which is always nice to see an owner in action! Might come back during week, who knows?

A wonderful place to spend a good Friday and Saturday night with music by various performers. Among them Bobby Ohler who not only sings, but also plays the piano and trumpet extremely well.I love this place!!.
