One of my new favorite vietnamese restaurants! Very small place but the food is delicious. The menu doesn't have a ton of options but that is fine because what they do have is on point. The pho is fresh and the broth is tasty. But don't just stick to the pho. You really can't go wrong with almost anything on their menu....banh mi, spring rolls, pho, bun, or bubble teas. Everything is enjoyable!

Tiny tiny dive but the best Vietnamese places on Veterans. Love their Bun and Pho and go there often

Solid pho and banh mi. I've tried a couple places around Metairie but none are as good as Saigon bistro. Prices are also very cheap.

Pho and banh mi combo for $12, that's a decent deal. The restaurant is really small, so it's best to eat by yourself or just one other person.

We've only gotten pho takeout from here but it's been so good we are definitely returning to try the other menu options. The service is so great and the food is fresh, healthy and delicious. The portion size is huge so it's a great value as well. We are so happy this place is close by!

FINALLY. The owner, Vivian, is the most adorable and sincerely gracious host. She wants you to enjoy everything you eat, and encourages you to try new things. I've been here to dine-in and pick-up at least a dozen times now and am going again tonight... For obvious reasons! The food is fantastic, prices on point, but the service is spectacular.

A true dimond of Metry. 8 bucks for a solid bowl of pho. ? will deffinetly be a must stop for future trips to the burbs.

Very small seating inside, but big on flavor and quality of food. A lot of pick up orders...give this place a try you won't be disappointed!

solid 4 stars. Good food, good service and quick. The pho is top notch and their boba tea is solid. You can't really ask for much else other than more parking.

Absolute favorite Vietnamese in the Metairie area. The owners are kind and very accommodating. The prices can't be beat. This place is authentic. All proteins have an obvious smoke from the grill, which makes for the best Bun bowls around. Portions are perfect. I hope this gem remains focused on providing the service and food that we have come to expect. We are pleased to spend our hard-earned dollars at this wonderful spot. Don't let this one pass you by if you truly love Vietnamese food

I was visiting NOLA from Boston, but I'm originally from California where there's a huge Vietnamese population. In Boston, the Vietnamese food (all food really) is s*** because it's made to cater to White masses, so... when I came down to NOLA, I knew I had to try the Vietnamese food, and I'm so glad I did! The owner (?), an older Vietnamese woman, gave me recommendations on the menu, and I was happy to see that the food was both reasonably priced, looked tastey, and they had-- excuse me-- COMBOS? Where you could get Pho AND BANH MI in one order?! It's nearly unheard of! It was fantastic though, and I don't remember what I paid, but I definitely would pay it again! And compared to Boston? The cooking is WAYYYYY superior, and it reminded me of growing up in California, where there's a butt load of great Vietnamese places to choose from! The owner knew I was just stopping by NOLA for a few days (I had mentioned it before) to get over the trapped city feelings in Boston, right before all the Corona mayhem started really buckling down. She was so sweet to me! Told me to drink tea when I get home with lemon and ginger so I wouldn't get sick! And even told me to be careful in my travels and to stay healthy no matter what. My mom passed away when I was young and I've been pretty independent ever since, but to hear her care just so needlessly about my health made me so happy and gave me warmth I didn't even know I needed! I think she also liked that I knew how to speak Vietnamese too... I hadn't spoken Vietnamese in so long (living in stale a** Boston for 2 years already), but she said I spoke it well and I took so much pride in that I even told my dad! Anyway. I loved the food. I loved the southern hospitality. I loved the kindness in this establishment during such a critical time! My friend had the Pho and Spring rolls combo and she loved it too! (My friend even left her phone in the lyft before our meals came out, and luckily we got it back, but the Owner was concerned that we were looking for something and once she came out with the food, she asked if we got our phone back and she was so happy to find out we did!) When we go back to NOLA, I'm definitely going to make it a point to come back to this lovely, quick and easy, little spot! Hell, I wish I could order from them right now and help support them during these hard times! Take care Saigon Bistro family! See you again soon, stay healthy, and "drink lots of tea with lemon and ginger so you don't get sick!"

Very very good food. The poboys were exceptional and spring rolls were just right. This place just needs a more colorful sign or lights to make this place easier to locate from the street view. Otherwise, I look forward to going back

I really liked this place! It had a small dining area and I was unsure if we had to order at the counter or someone was going to take our order at our table. My group sat a bit to look at the menu and chat, then one of the staff members came by to take our orders. I ordered pork bao buns, egg rolls and banh mi sandwiches to-go. The whole time we were sitting down, we thought it was an order a the counter type of place, but the lady behind the counter eventually came to our table to take our orders. I ordered some bubble tea drinks on top of the food and those were quite good (loved the texture of the bubbles). My drink seemed lacking in boba, so I tried to order some extra to add to my drink, but the did not have anymore made. If you have a big group, consider not eating in because the dining area is small and a bit tight to get around. The restroom was a single one and seemingly doubled as a storage area, too. Parking was not very plentiful, too + so hard to back out of the front spot (too many on-coming cars). I'd love to come back though and try more of the food. Great spot in Metairie though. Their health score rating was pretty decent compared to similar restaurants in the area. I'll be back for sure!
