I’ve been hearing so many great things about this restaurant. I was really excited to be blown away. The restaurant itself is beautiful. I would probably come back for a glass of wine and hang out in the cocktail lounge, but the food is nothing to rave about. We tried oyster, focaccia, and calamari to start. Caesar salad is $17 and very small. The pastas were just ok and the portions are on the small side. Unlike everyone else in the reviews, we actually did have good service. Our waiter was attentive and good at offering suggestions but we all pretty much left still hungry after spending $350 for a table of 4.

Decently long wait for our drinks, server came by several times and reminded herself that drinks still weren’t at the table. The wine saved the whole experience. It was good. The food was horrible. Table bread- photographs well but tastes like cardboard along with its dipping butter and oil. Focaccia- stale and tasteless. Braised meatballs tasted like lemon which is odd. Veal Marsala was dry and tough, cheese wheel pasta cooked past al dente and mushy as well as served luke warm. I’m not a tough critic… but this place is doing something wrong. The atmosphere is so beautiful and the place has so much potential, it completely missed the mark and we left hungry.

Great food. Terrific service. Innovative dishes. Drink pours are small for the cost. Love this chef.

I truly enjoyed everything about the restaurant. I had concerns because whenever I see a restaurant going viral on social media it never lives up to thr hype in terms of atmosphere and food. This place most certainly did. Braised meatballs phenomenal as well as the crudo. Squid ink pasta and Gulf shrimp paccheri were amazing. And to top it all off an awesome waitress by the name of Jonie I hope I'm spelling that correctly. My wife and I said when we visit again we will 100% ask if she's there. Overall 10/10

we had heard a lot about Tana so when we wanted to go out for a special occasion decided to try it out. overall, food is decent and portion size is good but customer service is non-existentwe started off with the caesar salad and fried calamari and then got the shrimp with pasta, lamb with pasta, creamy soup, four cheese ravioli, creamy polenta and potatoes. the salad was decent but just had lots of dressing; the calamari was good and plentiful and was more like calamari strings. the polenta and potatoes were sides - the polenta was creamy and tasted good: the potatoes were also good but tasted more like homestyle potatoes you would get at brunch. the shrimp a oh the pasta and the lamb with pasta were good, the cheese ravioli was decent, and we also got grilled focaccia on the side which was average. portion size for each item was good and flavor profile was decent. the prices for the dish was really high so we’re the dishes worth the price? i would say not, because while they were decent they were not outstanding and the pricesoverall, the food quality was good and the portion size decent. negatives would include the high price and the poor customer service

Tana was highly recommended by several good friends. I was disappointed—my experience did not live up to their rave reviews. The place is absolutely gorgeous. The valet was great. The staff was welcoming. The chair I sat in was too tall for me so I was a bit uncomfortable all dinner. The server talked so low and the noise level was so high, I have no idea what she said. It’s a loud!!! space. The server disappeared for about 30 minutes after our drinks order. Then there was a pretty big lag between starters and mains. To the food: the bread was delicious but I didn’t try the spreads. My companions enjoyed the oysters but remarked they were garlicky. We all had the creamy Italian salad and it was tasty but very garlicky. I liked the flavor of my 4 cheese ravioli but the pasta was way past al dente and the dish was lukewarm. My friend liked their crawfish pasta but cautioned me from trying it because of the garlic. I loved my friend’s very simple angel hair with red sauce -but it needed a bit of fresh Parmesan. We all liked our wines.I’m sensitive to garlic which is a prominent ingredient at most NOLA Italian restaurants, and Tana was no different. So I’m not sure I’ll be back, even though it’s right in my neighborhood.

Service needs a lot of work. It’s clear all the resources went into the buildout and very little into training and quality control. We were sat 15 minutes after our reservation.Saw tables left and right frustrated with wait times and communication.Big fans of Michael Gulotta’s other spots and thoroughly enjoyed the pop up at Maypop.Sadly, the quality of the pasta dishes left a lot to be desired. Bland and missing balance. Especially for the price point. High hopes, but won’t be returning.

Only open 3 months but you would never know it. The place is beautiful, service was spot on, and the food incredible. It's a Tuscany style restaurant from the same owners as Mopho and Maypop. Highly highly recommend!!Kid-friendliness: They had kids there but only bring them if they are well behaved and are not going to run around. This is a high end place.
