First off let me say I have been to this resturaunt about 100 times and love the food for the most part. Their seafood is normally on point and there servers are top notch. I have to say however I am seriously thinking about not eating here ever again. The prices have risen and you would think you are eating at a 5star resturaunt when it comes to the bill. This place must be making money. My main problem is with the 2 ladies that work the checkout. I suspect they are the owners of this place. These ladies are extremely rude and obnoxious. I am really torn and will need to do some more contemplation before visiting again but I believe I am not alone! Its really sad as I really enjoy the food even though its overpriced!

I've shared this story in all of my groups and on my personal page. I will not be a returning customer, regardless of the food. "Hope it's ok to share a bizarre thing that happened to me today, while catching up with an old friend over lunch at The Galley restaurant on Metairie Road. The restaurant is snug, and the acoustics are such that one has to speak above the din to be heard by one's fellow diner. And we were seated near the maitre d station. So, at the end of the meal, I was filling my friend on my activism efforts since 2016 -- first such efforts as a lifelong independent. My friend does not support Trump but had criticisms of Biden, none having to do with his age --my friend is almost as old as Biden! The woman employee from the maitre d station came up to our table and, in a hostile manner said "Biden sucks! A man sitting at a table behind us alone reiterated "Trump is great!" At this point, we'd paid our bill and had been lingering in conversation. I immediately felt unsafe and told my friend "we're leaving." As we were leaving, the woman said "I love Trump!" I said quietly, "well, he's a rapist." As I was walking out, to my back, the woman shouted "He did not rape that girl!" Any wonder why I'm yet again moving North, to be with my tribe?"

Our second time here and I have to say I I really enjoyed. So nice to eat at a seafood restaurant that you can actually taste the food. Seasoned well and sauces not overly salted. The hush puppies had great flavor but the outer fried shell a little hard. My husband got the soft shell crabs which they are known for. Everything was good. Service was friendly and timely. Would love to go back.

This place has wonderful warm, friendly family like service. The restaurant is spotless and the old warm charm oozes from its pores. Is it fancy or anything more than it pretends to be, no. Is it an old school seafood house near New Orleans, yes. I don't eat seafood, but the few other items they had were fantastic. And clearly the seafood they do serve is fresh off the boat because when you walk into this place, there isn't any fishy smell of any kind; I'm not quite sure how a seafood house can be so clean and the air so pure! The chicken parm was a delight. Definitely encourage anyone who isn't into seafood to enjoy it. The apps were large and inviting and tasty. All in all, this is a winner. It's clean, cheap, high quality and the family that runs it are just wonderful.

A little bit pricy, but it is a great seafood restaurant! Easy to find! Friendly employees! Great service! The fried shrimp are amazing!

Great Louisiana Charm. The oysters were delicious. I had both the charbroiled and traditional. They were large and delicious. Then I had the cheesy grits and Soft Shell Crab! Come hungry because you get a big bowl of grits and 2 crabs! I was stuffed!Service was great, and our waitress was very helpful in choosing great options for outside the norm.Parking is simple, and the atmosphere is very mom and pop. I only wish I had taken some photos.
