Best Thai food I think I have ever had. The flavors were incredible, and each dish was perfect. The tropical fried rice with pineapple, drunken noodle with beef, and red curry all tied for best dish we ordered. Will be coming back - highly recommended.

HOT HOT HOTTER, HOTTER than FIRE! Meet me at Tuk Tuk Thai, tucked away in NOLA, on the street of desire.. Do try to be smart don't let your heart catch on fire, love becomes King the moment it's spring, under a Tuk Tuk Thai sky. Tuk Tuk Thai left us in tears.. Not from a broken heart, we fell in love, we were such fools, Level 5 was so cruel, we thought we would die. "This Thai lady no play" she says as she looked us in the eye, we just laughed out loud as she made us smile with her fun style.. But Beware "This Thai lady no play" Thai street food so hot HOT HOT HOTTER than a pink Chanel suit in crocodile. When we rolled up in this joint, "Thai lady no play" came to our table & I told her "I like it Thai hot" & she told us that their Tuk Tuk thai food is already level 2 & it's already "Thai Hot" but they can go up to level 5. She says to us with a smile, You sure you want it level 5 cuz "This thai lady no play." We all just laughed out loud together she was so fun & sweet, the kind of person that loves with their whole heart. A beautiful human being. So we ordered one papaya salad the regular level 2 & one level 5, plus the fish dish at level 5. The papaya salads were fantastic, but even the level 2 one was so hot we could barely eat them. The fish dish was sublime, cooked perfectly, even thou it was also so hot we could barely finish it. We split it, but we both agreed next time we would get our own fish dish & nothing above level 2 bc "THIS THAI LADY NO PLAY!" hahaha hahaha hahahah hahahha We love you Thai lady, we love you Tuk Tuk Thai, we love you with our whole heart. We love you bc your "level 2 THAI HOT" street food is a authentic work of Art. Can't wait to return :)... Highest Recommendations.

This place caught my eye when I was racing down Veterans on some midday errands. It was the catchy name that caught my eye plus the fact that I did not expect to see an establishment specializing is Thai street food in a rundown strip center on Vets. So I made a mental note to come bac. About a month later, I snagged a co-worker who is always ready for a food adventure, and we barreled down Vets in search of Thai street food. I must say, the adventure was worth it. Tuk Tuk is a small but charming place with about 10 tables. Parking can be difficult so be forewarned. The menu is huge with appetizers, soups, salads, "street food," entrees, and desserts. We ordered spring rolls and pork shumai to share. Both were top notch, none better in this city. I decided to get a cup of shrimp wonton soup and an entree off the lunch menu, ginger mushroom trio with shrimp. The meal came with a spring roll, salad, and jasmine rice and was absolutely delicious as was my soup. My friend ordered the mango salad and added shrimp. It was beautifully presented, as was all the fare, and my friend pronounced it fabulous. The service was friendly and prompt, and the prices very reasonable. I will definitely be back.

It's a small restaurant that uses the space efficiently and has a fun Thai aesthetic. The servers were quick, courteous and very friendly. The Mai Tai was delicious and the Chang Thai beer was good. The fried pork rolls, shumai and roti appetizers were great. The pad Thai and kao moo dang were prepared perfectly. It's a family friendly restaurant that also has delicious food for all ages.

Wow, this was so good. Cute casual eatery in Metairie. I used to live in Thailand, so I'm pretty picky about Thai food. However, I was really impressed with the food and service at Tuk Tuk Thai. The waitress helped me decide what to order as I was between two entrees. I ordered the Tom Yum to start. I do wish I would have gotten it a little spicier though. Next, I had the Pad Krapow with the crispy pork belly as the protein. That crispy pork belly is soooooo good. Don't forget to top it with a fried egg. I cannot wait to have this dish again. Also, the Thai tea is great. It's a little on the sweet side but still really tasty.

Love this place. Khao soi was amazing and the green tea thai tea was out of this world. If you like jasmine tea, you have to try this! I just ordered pick up but they were timely with the order and the person who rang me up was very nice. Cozy little spot. I will have to come back to dine in and try some more things!

Wow this is a gem of an authentic Thai restaurant located in a small strip center. Very few tables so there was a lot of to go orders that were picked up constantly while we dined. The food was fantastic! We ordered a few apps to split at the table. We got the pork rolls, shu mai, and roti. The roti came with a delicious curry dip. The pork rolls were crunchy but the shu mai and their dip were the star for me. For my main dish I got the pad ped. I asked for it pretty spicy with chicken and they delivered! I liked that it had a good bit of veggies in there too.

Our first time here. We ordered: 2 Pad Thai noodles ( mild & level 2 spice) - I like spicy food and their level 2 is considered mild to me. I would order again...but increase the spice level. Yellow Curry w/ chicken - average flavor Sprimp Toast - very good. Would definitely order again Fried Calamari - average. Wish they can fry them a little longer. Their customer service for carryout is ok. Nothing that wow me.
