Nice neighborhood hangout that is clean and has nice outdoor space too. Good service and cold beer but don't try to order anything fancy... (bartender shook an old fashion LOL).

Great local spot to have a drink and chill. I enjoyed the cheese fries and my buddy said his burger was excellent.

READ the NEGATIVE reviews. Yelp lists "recommended" positive reviews so it makes the bar seem ok. The reviews referring to rude bartenders are true. RUDE. Ordered a beer. No one at the bar, one table of 4 in the whole place Bartender asks if I want to start a tab. I said no, I might have one might have two but not using a card and not going anywhere. He had me pay for the beer. If you are an out of towner this might not seem rude. But in OLD METAIRIE it's rude. Other places you chill. Periodically the bartender asks if you want another or want to order food. Never do they demand payment when you walk in the door. If you went to say Oscars, you'd drink your fill and eat a steak or burger and never in a million years be asked for money until you were done. AND THIS BAR HAS RITZ CARLTON PRICES WHICH ARE DOUBLE OTHER NEIGHBORHOOD PRICES. $8 For a draft beer. The same that is $4 OR $5 any other old Metairie bar. NOT NICE AND EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. (I love the ritz Carlton which has live music Jeremy davenport, gives you snack bites, has attentive waitresses, and a beer is worth it there)

Love this spot great eats and good vibes all around. Be sure to visit when Omar is working he’s the best bartender/cook! I got a great taste of home with the fried okra and meat pies which I’d been craving since I touched down at the airport. The decor is very New Orleans core and gives a relaxed vibe also a great spot to catch a game with their back patio which is very spacious. They also have an assortment of games both for those who like to gamble or who like to test friendships with classics like uno, connect 4 and many others. And of course you can’t beat the prices.

Lots of wood which is what you want in an old English pub, reminds me of the old lagers on vets. It's a good place to stop in and have a drink.

Bourdain quote on welcoming attitude here says it all. Woke's on the bar side needs to read and heed.Stay away and wait for attitude/ownership changes.

I have never been treated so rudely at an establishment in my life. I am someone who is kind to everyone and a total rule follower with an anxiety problem (like most millennials, am I right?!) I brought a cake (as I had done multiple other times for many occasions at this bar) to celebrate a friends promotion and upcoming new baby and a tablecloth to put under it. The owner immediately came over and rudely stated they do not allow gatherings with food and decorations. I explained it was just a cake and a tablecloth and a small group coming to have drinks after work. He stated there was already a large group coming and they called ahead and we won't be accommodated because he is working by himself. So a few people--on a Friday after work (when bars should usually expect an influx of professionals) could not accommodate a small group who wanted to purchase drinks and had a cake and a tablecloth. There was no sign indicating that the bar was closed for a private event and there were other random people sitting at the bar, but otherwise not a whole lot of people. Seems like bad business to me, but he will not have to worry about accommodating my friends and I in the future. On the other hand, Mamma's Place on Hesiod St. was so kind and welcomed us with open arms. We each purchased multiple beverages, left generous tips to thank them, cleaned up our belongings, and were gone by 6:45pm.

The interior has an old English pub feel. Great bar eats. Reasonable drink prices. Very friendly and not too noisy. Love stopping in.

Not once in my life have I ever been treated so poorly by a bartender that clearly had no idea what she was doing. From the poor greeting, to the slow drinks that weren't mixed well, I'm underwhelmed. How you can possibly mess up a Tito's/soda, while being rude & simultaneously only paying attention to the old man (apparent sugar daddy) coddling her poor attitude. "Impressively poor" is the only way to describe this overall experience. As a new business owner in LA, I'll be sure to avoid this place like the plague of a bartender that runs it on a Tuesday night.

Easily the best burger in the New Orleans area. Prices are solid, service is exceptional, and the food is spot on! They even do pop up crawl fish on their intimate patio area which has the capacity to expand to some shoe pits and added seating.
