Me and my wife walked in this place waited to be seated but nobody came so we asked if we could seat ourselves and they really didn’t know. We proceeded to sit down and the wait began. Took approximately 20 mins to get drink ordered, took 15 mins to receive them. The drinks were completely gone, nobody came by or nothing. So we waited, & waited, & waited, & waited some more. We finally ordered our food. Finally after an hour out came a bowl of lettuce (brown at that) with a dab of ranch. A basket of crackers as well. That was the only thing going so far. And we waited &waited some more, after 2 hrs and still no food we decided enough was enough. There was people of same race that came in 1 1/2 hours after we did and got fed yet we were still waiting. She said she felt it was discrimination due to we were an interracial couple. I personally didn’t care if it was or wasn’t I was done waiting and went to get something else to eat from another restaurant.

The fried oysters were great. Big, juicy and not too much batter. A lot of places will serve you an over-fried, nearly rock hard bite sized oysters but not here. They were the best I've had around this town.

Waited 1 hour before waiter walked by amd asked if we were ready to order. I said we would like to start with 2 dozen oysters, he walked away mumbling that it is 5 ahead of us. Brought them 30.min later, never asked of we wanted an entrée. We paid $56 for 2 dozen oysters amd 2

Only been going here since 1960... a very unique place that does not change hardly at all.. an iconic landmark in Monroe.

Sat for an hour before we even got a drink order in. Watched everyone who came in after us get their food and were told that we needed to wait when we tried to ask questions. Never got to place an order and eventually left and no longer had time to eat before going to our next scheduled event.
We were passing through this city and we were very pleased that we had dinner at this restaurant. The restaurant felt the atmosphere and spirit of antiquity and the sea... The dishes were delicious, the service was unobtrusive, and the walls around were reminiscent of a maritime theme. no wifi! I recommend!
