We went to monroe la yesterday we pick one to try and that first time go in Japan restaurants it was so beautiful nice waitress and take us to seat order food and one one we want .it was so hot and fresh it was so delicious we enjoy our Easter dinner .hope we will likely come back

The new restaurant location is very clean and inviting. We had a great time with the family. If you plan to eat at a hibachi table, get there early.Parking: The main lot fills up quickly, but there’s plenty of space across the way at the mall to park.

3/15/2024: Miserable experience! Called in order for take out 8:01pm when my plane landed - told it would be ready in 30 minutes (would be 8:31pm). So delayed calling Lyft to accommodate the pickup time. Got there at 9:00pm (29 mins past promised time) - ORDER STILL NOT READY! Would not be ready for still another 25 mins! In the meantime - my Lyft driver abandoned me; took my luggage. Had to call police. Eventually got home - food now cold! Miserable experience! Gross incompetence! Never again!

Absolutely wonderful experience last night at the new location! We had a large party (12) at 7 pm on a Saturday night, and they do not take reservations. Even still, we only waited about 40 minutes to be seated at hibachi which was much faster than we anticipated. Our waitress was attentive and sweet, we ordered ALOT of food (4 appetizers, 6+sushi rolls, and all had hibachi dinners) and all of the apps and sushi came out very quickly and was fresh and absolutely delicious! Grand Isle, Mummy, and Snowball rolls were amazing! Our hibachi was incredible! Best hibachi food I’ve ever dad - steak cooked perfectly, tender chicken, delicious sides, and generous portions for all - plus our chef was a true entertainer and incredibly friendly and interactive. Several people were celebrating birthdays (our party and others) and all received the special songs, gongs, and ice cream. Drinks were refilled constantly, the kids were given the adaptive chopsticks without asking, and the check came quickly but wasn’t rushed. Prices were on par with other hibachi establishments, and sushi was even a bit less expensive than I anticipated for the size and quality of the rolls we received. Truly a 10/10 experience, and we will come back again over and over!

The host and hostess were very rude and condescending. I'd suggest re-training them on how to be respectful to customers but you either have it or you don't. Get new hostesses.
New building/location looks great inside and out. Service was a little slow but I think it was due to just opening otherwise everything else was good to me. If you haven't tried the Salmon Skin roll, I highly suggest if you're a real sushi lover.

The food was fair not as tasteful as expected but the team work or service needs a lot of improvement. Server was very pleasant and helpful to explain the menu which is long and huge and not well in description for some items so needed assistance. Place was busy in some areas and not others and some servers seem free and sitting around counting their tips while other servers were working no team help to get all customers served in timely manner just their own. Cleaned up in front my food with chemicals not impressed at all. Had wet concrete floors while customers in restaurants. Go early not evening May be better.

Beautiful new building, but sushi made me sick. I had the scallop sashimi, spicy tuna roll, and the Escolar roll. The escolar roll tasted a little off, and I remembered that had been the case on previous visits. Regretfully, I fell once again to the trap. The scallop sashimi was near flavorless and lacked the addition of sauce and smelt roe to really give it the correct taste and texture. Even the spicy tuna roll was meh. I must say the sushi at brookshires is better, and that is sad. I desperately wanted to like this as the sushi options in the area are slim to none, but I just can't.
