This place is fantastic for home cooking. The hamburger steak was great with home made mash potatoes. The dessert was delicious blackberry cobbler. Sitting looking at the lake beautiful.

Really awesome food at a fair price! You get to choose your favorite of what's cooked and a variety of vegetables to pick from . You get to serve yourself so you choose the portions amount . Had good ol sweet tea by choice and the glass was huge. It is very down home and a cozy but yet roomy eatery. Definitely a place I will eat at again!!!

We live about 2 hours west, and wanted to venture around Natchitoches. We stopped at Almost Home for lunch, and am now wanting to make more plans in the area just to come back for lunch. The family atmosphere is better than advertised, and we even got to meet the young son of a waitress who entertained us with his T-Rex hand puppet. We will definitely be back!

The food had a pretty good taste. But the fried chicken was barely warm and slightly undercooked making it tough. None of the food was very warm. It was set up like a buffet. 1 meat, 3 sides and a bread. Serve yourself. I probably wouldn’t go back. I wasn’t too impressed.

This place has good country food! The hamburger steak was smothered in gravy. The waitress was very attentive. You get 1 meat, 3 sides, and a roll for $14. Desserts come in at another $4. By the time you pay for food and tip, you have spent over $20 for a meal! All that said the food is good!
