Amazing food created by a family that is truly proud of the meals they serve! The reviews were quite complimentary and I wanted to see this for myself. I had the fried chicken, sausage, fried ribs, yams, and rice! I also topped everything off with a slice of pineapple cake and Fanta pineapple soda!They were all fantastic! It was first visit and the staff …and even customers saw that I was not too sure of what to expect or order and everyone was so welcoming and friendly! Thanks for making the experience memorable! I was so excited and touched by the kind staff and customers that I didn’t even remember to take pictures of my meal!

All things being equal, Anointed Soul hits the nail on the head. This little place puts out some of the best food in town. Their daily specials are downright special with most entrëes coming with one or two scoops of a great rice stuffing. My wife loves it so much she gets more as her chosen sides.Give these people a chance. It's likely you'll be glad you did. For soul food in New Iberia, this is hands down the "anointed" one.

This is a terrific place to eat. The people who own it are super nice, and make amazing home cooked soul food. They let me taste a "little bit of everything", the shrimp stew, the pork ribs, the spaghetti, black eyed peas, and smothered okra. I should say "what would fit the plate." Everything was incredible, to the point where when they asked what was my favorite, I said I couldn't pick just one, it was all amazing. Do yourself a favor and go to Anointed Soul Food. I will be, from now on, quite often!Vegetarian options: They have plenty of veggies every day for the vegetarians among us foodies.
