We made a point to visit Miss Brenda based on the amazing reviews. She actually has RETIRED, and now only serves enough meals for her long-time customers. But, she offered us a meal and we gladly accepted. The food was phenomenal. I don't know her secret to making everything taste better than you thought it could, but she does! So while she is an amazing cook and a total sweetheart, please know that you might not get served here any longer. But I think she said she does still cater if you're interested! Love this old school eatery. Set inside a her home Mrs Brenda serves up some terrific home cooked meals. I had some of the best fried chicken ever and enjoyed the red beans and rice. The Mac n cheese was a-1! The cobbler was very good as well. I can’t wait to eat here again! Idk how I have never been here before. Definitely a hidden gem in new Iberia and likely the best food you will find locally.
