Absolute delight. Skilled bartending, great cocktail lisy, chill inclusive atmosphere, best Sazerac I had in town. Felt like a local neighbourhood secret, but on the edge of the FQ. Not messy party spot, but a great place for grown ups to hang out for a few hours. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

BEST Moscow Mule I've ever had and that's the majority of what I order in bars. It's a small bar and off the typical tourist beaten path in NOLA but we'll worth it.

This is not a craft cocktail bar!!!I don't know what kind of kids come here too review but as an avid mixologist our drinks were terrible. A bloody Mary with vodka infused bacon? Garlic and onions? No. They have a house orgeot for mai tai which made my Mai tai so bad. Horrible drinks that were undeinkable

It took a moment- and I waited for it- the gin ramos fizz. This is a great little bar and will definitely go back. Lots of great options and my companion got some great rum! Warning- my beverage takes a bit to make.

Bar Tonique is a cool dive bar that makes great cocktails at very reasonable prices. Gayle, David, and I came here to meet a local family friend, who was giving up alcohol for lent. We had a great time anyway! The highlight of our Bar Tonique experience as their Ramos Gin Fiz, which took 20 minutes to make and set us back a very reasonable $14. The tasty concoction felt more like drinking a gin milkshake - smooth and satisfying. As they were out of Pisco, I opted for a very nice US made Belgian beer, as I'm currently tired of anything IPA. David's a Sazerac man and he was very happy with his drink. Bar Tonique itself is a bit dark and small. There's seating at the bar, up towards the front, and within a small side room. The guy at the bar was friendly and very competent in his mixology. Our conversations with Micah were fun and educational as he was born and raised here. And we would have stayed longer, except he had another bar to show us.

Bartender refused to make a gin fizz. She stated "it takes too long" yet this bar is suppose to have the best.

Awful service, refuses to make drinks when theres only 15 people in the bar. Laziness at its finest

First of all, this place has really chill vibes. The music choices are amazing and the staff is very friendly. I also haven't seen cocktail prices this low in years. Couldn't recommend it more if you are in NOLA.

I have been sending people to Bar Tonique for close to a year from my position as liquor vault manager at the Sazerac House. So many return to tell me what a great experience they had & to thank me for recommending it. I have left the position at Sazerac House & won't be sending any more from there, Good luck to all the craftsmen & women behind this truly wonderful place!

Darker atmosphere than I expected, but ended up being the perfect vibe. Fun, intimate space with more seating than you would expect. Drinks are excellent & there’s a wide range of cocktails grouped by taste profiles, which I find rare but highly appreciated.

Tried ordering a tequila soda lime and a vodka pineapple and was told they only make “cocktails” I’ve never heard of any bar that has no mixers, just straight liquor, pretty nice atmosphere though, still wouldn’t recommend, try the Black Penny a short walk
