Amazing appetizers, fantastic service go with their house dish, it's the best red snapper I've ever had! New Orleans can cook!

Longer review but here’s the quick hitters. First, ask for Rich for your server. He’s amazing. 2nd, get the seafood gumbo and split it with someone with crab bisque. Get the scallops on fried goat cheese, get the filet for steak, or steak and scallops dish if you want a little surf and turf. Rich’s recommendation was Louisiana Redfish on half shell. That was hands down the best piece of grilled fish I have ever had. I would def get it again. When we were in Ohare at the bar, a lady who travels often said to try this place. Our uncle booked this place without even knowing that recommendation. It was hands down one of the best meals we have had. Rustic interior but at the same time romantic. Highly recommend.

I absolutely loved loved loved this restaurant! We had the Halibut dinner, and the Carmelized Scallops, with crab topping, served on a small block of tasty fried mild goat cheese! The Crab bisque is a must have, could have been a meal on its own, but wanted it Al! Richenl our waiter absolutely made our evening! Kudos to the Chef!! Dessert is a whole other review also a 5 star!!!

Outstanding food and service! I’ve been to this restaurant multiple times and it’s always fantastic. This visit I got the crab bisque and lamb shank and they were both 10/10. The owners are amazing and the staff are great. Location is central to everything and easy parking. Can’t wait to be back!

The waitress was very nice. However, we waited well over an hour to get our food. It’s very loud inside and holding a conversation was difficult. When I asked to pay for what we’d already been given and to cancel the rest the manager came to speak with us. She told us that the fish takes 45 minutes to a hour to cook. That seems like information that’s useful up front. I arrived and left hangry.

Briquette has become my go-to spot for finer dining in New Orleans. The service is just right: attentive but not smothering, friendly but not overly familiar, proper but not stuffy. The food is genuinely excellent. Slightly pretentious in a way that gives proper pomp and circumstance to the occasion without losing sight of the flavors that should take center stage.Speaking of flavor, I would be remiss if I didn't highlight the steak and scallops, the whole fish, and the amazing salads we enjoyed all week. My favorite item was the lump crab bisque, I could eat that every day and never get tired of such an exquisite dish.Fortunately for us, the food was not only delicious, it was also filling. This is because the dessert offerings are not up to par. My suggestion would be to abandon, "Our take on the classic..." and just make the classics the way people loved it and it became classic. I am speaking specifically about the bananas foster and the bread pudding.
