We loved Charlie's Steak House in New Orleans. Not a fancy steakhouse but a New Orleans institution in a great part of the city near Tulane. The drinks and offerings are fantastic, think high-end bourbon. The service and ambiance were all about the food not to be seen, Courtney our server was great. Everyone loved the steaks and the flavor was awesome. Had a few sides, crabmeat au gratin was very tasty. We highly recommend Charlie's.

I almost don't want to let this secret out! Such a neighborhood gem - sticks to the basics and keeps them exceptional. Service is on point... friendly and helpful without being excessive. Classic and timeless.

If you need a good steak but don’t want to commit to fine dining then I recommend making a reservation here. The onion fries were amazing and the steaks were excellent quality. The staff is very friendly and our waiter was such a gem. Definitely check it out!

Fascistic Old School steak House... Not fine dining but so very good. The sides were great, the steaks were well prepared but just one notch below what I would expect from a fine dining steak House.The atmosphere is not fine dining, more old school church basement but the service is great.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant for the first time and it was an amazing experience. The service was top-notch and the staff were very friendly. The fried onions were absolutely delicious, the best I've ever had. The steak was cooked to perfection and the side of mushrooms was equally delicious. I can't wait to come back for more of their amazing food. If you're looking for a great dining experience with delicious food and excellent service, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

The sides were delicious and the food presentation was great. However, the steaks were tough and not worth the price.
Was not expecting this to be somewhat of a hidden gem. I grew up Uptown and was familiar with Pascal's on Napoleon. I went here for my birthday dinner and I was not disappointed! I made a reservation about an hour before we left (they open at 5 PM) and was easily accommodated. We were immediately greeted and seated. The restaurant seems small but there is an upstairs area. The downstairs area was large enough for about 30 people. Our waitress Chelsea was AMAZING! She explained everything in the menu and kept our glasses full. My lemon drop was STRONG but enjoyable. Everything from the onion strings to the steak and sides to the complimentary birthday dessert was deeeeelicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, the potatoes au gratin was cheesy, everything was seasoned just right. I wish I would've taken pics but I was too hungry I can't wait to go back here.

Our last night for dinner in New Orleans and Charlie's was able to give us a reservation at the last minute. We waited 2 hours before leaving our hotel to arrive at the restaurant for our reservation.We arrive, we seemed a bit out of place but we're welcomed. Travis assisted, great job Travis!We went straight into entrees and sides and Charlie's Steakhouse DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Food and service DELICIOUS and IMPECCABLE! If I'm ever in NO again I'll be back!When coming to NO I was given a list of places to eat! When someone ask me Charlie's will be mentioned first!
