The special I ordered was seafood over rice ... it was dry and bland. All the seafood must have been prepared days before. Very disappointing. When I talked to the server about the dish she said no one yesterday complained ( well, it might have been fresh yesterday but not today!) She said that since the owner was not in the restaurant she could only remove my cocktail from the bill. We will not return.

Delightful small restaurant in a quiet area. We would be regulars if we didn't live 400 miles away! Apple and carrot soup was a real hit. About 5 minutes walk from the streetcar stop.

A quaint, intimate restaurant with truly delicious food, friendly and attentive staff, and a large selection of great wine and cocktails.Vegetarian options: The pizza is absolutely to die for, and you can build your own or choose from three different “house” pizzas - the veggie, the Bianca, or the Ollivier, which are all vegetarian options. There are a few soup and salad selections, and the fries are perfection. Bread service is included with every meal, so no vegetarian should leave this place hungry.

One of the best restaurants in NOLA. Family owned and small. Bring cash. No card's excepted at all.

Went recently and the French onion soup was delicious as were the mussels, if you like mussels they are prepared open half shell with garlic butter sauce. We also Ordered the grilled salmon it was delicious as well but I have to say the green sauce on top was Very unappetizing and I'm wondering if they would consider a lemon butter sauce and serve it with something more exciting other than rice pilaf. Can't wait to go again and try other items on menu!

We really wanted to like this place, but it just missed the mark on a few fronts. The pasta was soupy, the noodles were soft, vegetables a bit mushy. Prices were $3-5 more than the menu online. The duck was tasty, the tomatoes in the caprese were fresh, our server was friendly, but I can’t recommend this restaurant.

I've had Cote Sud on my bucket list for ages and finally managed to work it into our schedule on our last visit to the city. I was able to call and leave a message to make our reservation the day of and received a friendly call back to confirm. Be sure to remember that they only take cash or check. If you forget, there's a Chase bank right around the corner on Carrollton. Also, don't go by the menu prices as shown on their webpage... it looks like it hasn't been updated in quite some time. The place is quaint and cozy with old fashioned appeal nestled into the neighborhood. Dinner for two consisted of house salad, and entrees of steak frites, and the duck breast and everything was delicious. Our server was very friendly, attentive, and had a great sense of humor.

A very cosy place where cocktails and dishes were delightful. A « real » place. No extravagance just good and tasty food. A plus for me as a French gourmet !

This place is actually a great little French Bistro that also does pizza. They make things a bit inconvenient by only taking cash or a local check. Although this place isn't terribly expensive it would be easier to enjoy a nice meal and drink some good wine here if you could use a credit card. The atmosphere here is very cozy and it is a great spot to bring a date. I've enjoyed everything I've eaten here and I've always had decent if a tad slow service. Overall this place is a bit off the radar for most people and they do have some interesting hours that can be a bit challenging to keep up with when they are actually open. If you've never been here you certainly should pay a visit but make sure to have a local check or plenty of cash. My video review of Ciro's Cote Sud is here:
