Good lamb-chops, even better scalloped potatoes & soups too. Perfect spot just off the bar up the steps if you want more intimate conversation otherwise it's a great scene. Enjoy!

We enjoyed dinner at Clancy's several years ago and have been trying to get back. We finally got a Friday night reservation and the evening started out strong but we left disappointed. Appetizers we tried: egg plant fries and chicken sausage gumbo were both tasty. The Boston salad and Romaine salad were both excellent. After a lengthy sales job from the waiter about the excellent sushi grade tuna special, it arrived so over cooked that it was inedible. When the waiter checked in after I had eaten what was cooked correctly and saw all of the overcooked tuna still on the plate, he urged me to let him know "next time" which would mean I would need to get up from the table and hunt him down because he was nowhere in sight after the food arrived. My husband ordered the sirloin which was excellent; however, the fries and greens that were served as sides were cold and the greens were bitter. The coconut pie was average and could have been straight from a box. The ice cream was excellent. We ordered two cafe au laits with dessert and the first one was served with great flair and mixed at the table. It was delicious; however, the other one didn't arrive until we were finished with dessert. The staff appears to be concerned with the guest experience but just doesn't deliver. Dinner for two was $230 and just not worth it. There are too many other options for excellent fine dining in New Orleans, we won't return.

The gumbo was fantastic. I also got the lobster risotto and asked for a wine pairing from the waiter and it was spot on. So delicious and upscale without being stuffy. Staff are very welcoming.

Had a very good dinner. Enjoyed our appetizers more than the main (smoked duck). Bread and butter was so-so.

I took an Uber and headed there, but it was in the middle of a residential area, making me wonder if I had taken the wrong place.Reservations are essential, and the restaurant was completely full even on a weekday night, and it's clear that the restaurant is loved by almost 100% locals.Although we were clearly outsiders, they treated us kindly. Rather than a course, everyone can order a la carte and share. As expected from a local restaurant. The variety of wines is perfect, and it seems to go well with any dish. The menu changes depending on the season, i.e., seasonal ingredients and fish. I ate the trout and was surprised at how delicious it was.The bill is also cheap. . . Even though 4 people drank 3 bottles, it cost just under 500 yen. I think this is exceptional for a famous restaurant with tablecloths and delicious food.I want to go again. . .
