Our waitress, Makilah (pronounced Makayla) was excellent. She was very polite and thorough.

This is a slightly upscale restaurant, so it is recommended to wear a jacket. Be sure to try the turtle soup and bread pudding. When it comes to cocktails, order only what you know.

Outstanding!! Expectations were exceeded.Vegetarian options: Aaron helped us to meet our dietary differences in our party.
Over the past 10 years, I can count on one hand the times that I have given a 5 star review. This restaurant certainly deserves that rating. Excellent food, outstanding service and really nice atmosphere. If you are visiting New Orleans, this is a must.

An absolute jewel of a restaurant. I have never had a meal that I didn't love, and the service makes me feel like royalty each time.
It was my Birthday and my first time in New Orleans. This was one of the absolute worst meals of my life. I ordered their specialty pecan crusted fish and sent it back because it was flavorless beyond the excessive amount of salt. Truly, a disappointment. The only saving grace was the turtle soup and bread. Otherwise, I will never visit here again. Save your money and time, dine somewhere else.Thankfully, they didn't charge me for the two bites of terrible food! Truly disappointed after years of hearing how "great" this restaurant is.

We love Commander's Palace in the Garden District. It's famous for its fancy Creole food, classy vibe, and top-notch service. Their bananas foster is still unbeatable. We shared a turtle soup, split into 4 cups. The Winter Mushroom Pappardelle appetizer was divine, with perfectly cooked, tasty mushrooms. For dinner, we tried the Pork Chop and the Center Cut Creekstone Farms Filet, both delicious. Sides like Bacon & Apple Cider Braised Cabbage and smashed new potatoes were great too. The Bananas Foster, made tableside with an explanation of its history, was a hit. Even my daughter, who manages 2 restaurants in New York, was impressed with the ambiance, service, food, and surprisingly reasonable wine list.

Fantastic service, food and atmosphere. Best food in New Orleans!
food was great, service was great. An idea would be for the staff to ask the table if they want the live band to come to their table. We were eating well trying to and the band wanted to have a coversation and was pushy about getting us to pick songs for them to play. A little annoying but again the overall experience was lovely!

During my first visit to New Orleans, I had an amazing experience at Commander's Palace. As soon as I walked in, the host warmly greeted me and promptly seated me at a cozy table. My servers, Ashley and another lady whose name I can't recall, were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Ashley provided excellent recommendations and ensured that my dining experience was top-notch.The food was simply outstanding. I started with the beautifully presented and flavorful Shrimp Tasso, Turtle soup, and garlic bread. For my main course, I had the Grilled center-cut creek-stone farm filet, which was cooked to perfection and the combination of ingredients was delightful. To top it off, I indulged in the strawberry shortcake for dessert, the perfect sweet ending to an incredible meal. The ambiance of the restaurant was lovely as well. The decor was modern yet inviting, and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. I never felt rushed and was able to savor every bite truly.I highly recommend Commander's Palace to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience!ence. The service, food, and overall experience exceeded my expectations in every way.
This may be the best of the best. We reserve 2 months early to get a Sunday Jazz Bruch reservation during Jazz Fest. The prices are reasonable considering the quality: from $42 for 3 courses.Dietary restrictions: There are salads and meatless dishes.
