Make decent drinks but it's not a good trade off for how rude they are. Am even a hotel guest. Do better.

The food was great. Oysters were different than any we've had in New Orleans anywhere else and well worth the price. Other foods also good and a very creative pairing and presentation. Ambience was made to feel like we had privacy although there were others nearby. Service was great, servers very attentive and knowledgeable but food little slow coming out of kitchen.

Fantastic breakfast but a few odd things to point out for management to make this a 10/10 experience....had a 9 am reservation. Showed up at 8:59 and the hostess acted like we were an hour early. Sit on the couch and wait. Then we had to squeeze by the hpusekeeping/cleaning cart....not a welcomi ng breakfast experience. Do that when you close at night or before you open in the morning. Otherwise our waitress, the food, and the ambiance was wonderful.

The caviar was good, but the main courses (ribeye and swordfish) were marginal.... Not memorable nor would I order again. Crab rice was “fishy,” and server completely forgot our coffee. Dessert cake was dry. Really annoyed that online / website said valet parking would be discounted to $14 with validated parking card, but NO ONE at the hotel nor the restaurant had any idea of that. I ended up paying $22+ for parking (plus tips BUT parking attendants were perfect- courteous and professional and deserving of tips - they were the best of the evening). Bottom line - marked Commons Club off our list.

The service left us really disappointed. The food was good but not worth returning for. We brought in a cake and the server didn't bring us and plates or silverware, that was the only end of being ignored most of the dinner. Also, $30 for a half squash is wild.

We had a group of 12. Our one waiter was working well but they are understaffed. The menu is limited and you need to ask questions about it or you will no get what you expect. Also then at the time of the check they would not split the bill per couples and stated that they could only take four cards to pay the bill. This is a point that should have been made at the beginning of the service or when the booking was made.

Staff were super professional and friendly, a band was warming up to play; nice atmosphere.I had a banana waffle which would have been good on its own but they put some overly dense cream, and too much sugar on it ruining the dish in an excess of sugar. Nice spot though, and I had a good cappuccino.

The egg sandwich was really, really good. Coffee was pretty standard, as well as orange juice. Came first thing for breakfast. Service was a bit slow, and we were the only ones there for most of the time. Feels like it mostly bar/drinking oriented rather than breakfast/brunch friendly. Personally, probably would not come back, but the food was good. Regarding parking, we stayed at the hotel so it was provided, but otherwise you would have to find your own parking (street, pay to park, etc).

They were very shorthanded. The staff made valiant attempts to keep up but it was impossible as short staffed as they were. Could be a super fun place with good management and staffing.

The food was good, but the restaurant was severely short staffed and those working stated that over and over. I appreciate the few that showed up to work, but they could have handled differently. It made me wish I was anywhere but there.

We had a low key meal for New Years Eve. The food was good. We both ordered burgers and fries which were delicious. Main issue was with service which was terrible. Food was dropped off with no knives and forks. We had to flag down the waiter for water. We tried multiple times to order drinks. Eventually we gave up and went somewhere else down the street. Not recommended.

Stayed at the hotel and had resort credit to use and decided to make a reservation for dinner. Food was about what to be expected for hotel restaurant but very limited options - would have preferred more local flavors/dishes. Cocktail was pretty good and ambiance was cool/modern-ish.

A bit disappointing. I guess I had higher expectations from the Virgin Hotel restaurant. We ordered 4 dishes: duck hash, scallops, green salad, and back ribs. Scallops had interesting design on the plate, but were uncooked. Green salad was good. But duck hash and ribs were - mmm - difficult to eat. Just not tasty. It feels like they tried too hard to come up with unusual items for the menu - it got lost in execution. The service was slow and forgetful. They brought food, but neglected to bring plates. When we finished with three dishes - i had to flag down the wait staff to request them to clean up the table. And ask to replace cutlery and give us clean plates for the main course. What made up for all the hiccups is live music and the ambience.

Entrees (grilled swordfish, Iberica pork, roasted chicken) were good. However, portions were small and highly priced. We also had the olive oil cake and chocolate mousse - both were very good. Service was lackadaisical, but it was Christmas so all is fine.
