We were there yesterday for lunch. Loved the vibe of the restaurant. We both had the stuffed shrimp and it was very good. But we asked for a grilled cheese for Grandson who is a year old and was quite rudely told "we don't do that". My goodness..throw some cheese on a bun or bread and toast it!She never cleared the dishes or brought refills.By the way she was walking her legs had issues.I pray her attitude and legs are healed. Her lack of detail and service jaded this restaurant experience. Wish we had the other lady as

I was really looking forward to trying this place but it was a bit disappointing. Our server wasn't engaging but he could have just been having a bad day but he was definitely not interested in any fun banter. He also didn't bring us our bowl of house potatoes which we didn't realize we were supposed to get until we were leaving. The food was just ok as well. The char grilled oysters were too salty from the type of Parmesan cheese they use but my husband liked the BBQ oysters and BBQ shrimp but I thought they were a bit bland. If you get the seafood platter I recommend trying it grilled because that much deep fry sits like a brick in your stomach. The cocktail sauce is also crazy spicy hot. I'm pretty sure it was used as a weapon back in war times because it's absolutely capable of killing. We had no idea it would completely burn out our pallet because our server didn't warn us that it was basically a cup of lava so we learned the hard way. We also had a Voodoo juice and it was much too sweet. The atmosphere here is nice though with a fantastic vintage diner vibe and all the other employees seemed to be lively and were having a good time. Unfortunately though there is much better food and service in this city to want to give it a second try.

No words for the scrumptious seafood that melts in your mouth. We keep meaning to try someplace else but what could be better than Deanies?

Average experience. Food was average, nothing great. My sister had shrimp po boy and the shrimp wasn’t clean. I had redfish and it was just okay. We also had a burger, crab and shrimp dip, calamari and order of chicken tenders for the kids and it was just okay. Bathrooms were nice and clean and wait staff was good. Restaurant is a bit pricey.Parking: Parking is expensive. There is a parking garage across the street so very easy to find but it’s parking downtown so expect to pay $15 to $20
